Introduction:
There can be different and difficult scenarios arising when we launch a new mobile
application in the IT industry. It is always possible to encounter threats due to competitors
and this can result in the unwillingness of the clients to try and use the new product. The IT
industry is highly diverse. For certain specific activities/purposes, there can be many different
mobile applications available in the market. Hence, it becomes a tedious job to attract clients
and build strong relationships with the clients.
It is essential for a company to establish credibility to positively project the company’s
product. This can be achieved through successful communication based on a positive
relationship between the company and the target customers. Moreover, once the customers
gain confidence in the company or brand, they are more likely to use its products and
services. How the customers respond to the messages communicated by the company shall
determine the credibility of the company. This has more to do with the reliability and
trustability of the brand. Communication between the clients and the company becomes
easier when the company has established credibility.

There are many characteristics necessary to build, maintain, or repair a company’s credibility.
Let us discuss them in detail.
• Honesty: It is vital for any company to stay truthful towards its clients. Moreover, the
company must not lose integrity and must ensure employing the right measures and
not involving itself in deceitful practices.

• Objectivity: To consider all the aspects of an issue, a company must have a sense of
objectivity, where the decisions are taken without any emotional pressure or
considerations. It must deal with facts and stats.

• Awareness of audience needs: A company must be aware of what the audience seeks
and communicate that they value their needs and requirements. To stay updated o the
needs of the audience, it is necessary to attend industry events and seminars, engage
in online and social media platforms with the audience, etc.

• Credentials, knowledge, and expertise: The audience can relate to the company’s
message only if the company can substantiate their work through adequate research,
reception of critical approvals, special training and showcasing the product’s benefits
or past success. It has more to do with the company’s achievements (small or big).

• Endorsements: Today, endorsements play an important role in establishing credibility.

It is like an expert in any particular industry whom the audience looks upon for
acceptance of the products or services. This expert shall represent (face) on behalf of
the company.
• Performance: Besides, effectively communicating with the audience, it is pertinent to
deliver when it comes to the performance of the product/service. Only then can the
company expect positive word of mouth. A company must try to take care of this
aspect right when it starts to promote or launch the product. Else, previous
communication will not hold much value. One must strive to build a top-notch quality
product as credibility building is impossible with weak products and services.

• Sincerity: The company must be transparent with its clients even if some information
may lead to unfavourable circumstances. A company should own up to its mistakes or
shortcomings in the product/service offered. This sincerity will help earn clients’
respect in the long run. The company must ensure it practices what it preaches. This
also boosts the employees in more ethical behaviour.

Besides, Guest Blogging can work wonders for the company and its product/s. The company
must do the required research and find blogs that have audiences associated with similar
products/services. It is a great way to solidify relationships with the online crowd. It can also
help the company/brand receive valuable inputs and shall help them associate with tech-
savvy geeks.
While analysing the market, one also needs to plan how to strategize marketing and sales
messages. Some of the important aspects the brand needs to consider are as follows:
▪ Assessing audience needs: Understanding the needs of the audience is the first step.

▪ Analysing the competition: How messages from the competitors are crafted and
delivered to the audience must be analysed and new strategies must be developed and
designed accordingly.

▪ Determination of selling points and benefits: The brand must showcase or highlight
the specific features that may be unique in the market and this can gain selling points
for the brand.

▪ Anticipating purchase objections: It is important for a company to anticipate the

objections up front and address them at the earliest. This shall make it easier for the
company to craft its promotional messages.

Conclusion:
A specific public image can be fostered with effective business communication and messages
that precede from any single person’s opinion or perspective. Enhancing credibility is not a
simple process. It can take days or months to accumulate or earn the client’s trust.
Meanwhile, a company must be careful of any mishappenings that happen internally or
externally that can deter its reputation. Once the messages are received by the audience, it is
further important to keep motivating them to use the product/service. Nonetheless, a company
must also employ promotional messages and would be interactive and conversational. This
can involve creating a community to discuss ongoing and upcoming issues and how to tackle
them. Last, but not least, maintaining high standards of ethics, legal compliance, and etiquette
shall drive the company on the right track, reaping benefits for both the brand and its
customers.

Introduction:
A suitable resume plays an important role for an employment seeker wanting to get into the
position in his/her dream company. A resume can be seen as a statement of the candidate’s
educational, employment, and professional qualification summary. Employing the right
materials/content in the resume is a must and should be catered to as per the requirements of
the job role/position along with the kind/type of company the candidate is willing to associate
himself/herself with.
The resume should be a culmination of important messages including specific dates, duties,
and accomplishments both educational and professional. It must have all the information that
the interviewer needs and must be tailored in such a way that the important points are easy to
locate. A good resume is always eye-catching and can grab the receiver’s attention in no
time. Due to the increase in competition in every sector, many times the resume plays an
important factor that can take the candidate through to the next rounds of interviews or the
selection process.

A resume can be organized in many ways. Let us discuss some of the ways below:
1. The Chronological Resume: It is a very common way of approach while creating a
resume. This is where the qualifications, professional career portfolio, etc are
mentioned in chronological order. Furthermore, it has more to do with the work area
section. It presents the professional history in a much more distinct and easy-to-
understand manner. Here, the job history is listed from the current working (should be
on top) or most recent ones. The same also holds good while listing educational
qualifications. For example, the highest educational qualification is listed first.

2. The Functional Resume: It is also called the skills resume where more emphasis is put
on the skills that the candidate has. Here, the job history becomes secondary. Rather,
it stresses the candidate’s areas of competence. Employers get to know the skills and
competencies that the candidate hold without reading the job descriptions in the job
history. It also gives the candidate an extra edge to play down the lengthy gap while
unemployed.

Introduction:
Business messages pave the way towards credibility. And the messages must go through the
required attention to detail. To ensure the business messages do not negatively impact the
receivers, it is necessary to employ quality inspection of documents. This can be achieved by
proofreading the documents. Proofreading helps identify hidden mistakes in the writing or
design and also it will be able to highlight the mistakes that occur during production.
Proofreading doesn’t involve casually scanning up the documents. It involves an iterative
process that employs a methodical procedure. It is the last stage of the writing process. It may
involve fixing minor spelling mistakes, typos and formatting issues, and shall look for
inconsistencies.

Let us discuss various techniques used by professional proof-readers:

▪ Make multiple passes: The document must be checked multiple number of times
considering different aspects in writing. They can be spelling, typos, formatting, etc.

▪ Double-check high-priority items: The items which contain specific information like
dates, data, and names and also that serve the highest importance in the message must be
checked for spelling mistakes. Else, this can cause vexation among the receivers.

▪ Usage of perpetual tricks: It is necessary to employ different ways or different

approaches while proofreading the same document. This is because many times our
brain is unable to detect the mistakes as it sub-consciously auto-corrects the missing
pieces.
▪ Review complex digital documents on paper: It can be difficult for many people to
proofread digital documents like webpages, online reports, etc. In such scenarios, one
can print those materials onto paper.

▪ Stay focused, and vigilant and take the required time: Those are a must while
performing proofreading. If the files are large, one must take breaks and take as much
time as possible without losing focus. It is always recommended not to proofread when
one is tired/stressed out. Our brains can’t function with the same energy or
concentration level during long periods. Hence, it is necessary to take the required
number of breaks for a certain period at regular intervals.

Conclusion:
It is seen that minute detailing such as inconsistency in font and font size, clumsy line and
page breaks or inactive or incorrect links, etc are some of the mistakes that are overlooked
after proofreading. Sometimes, it is good to hand over the document/s to a different person
who can point out such mistakes. Today, many online platforms can assist a person while
proofreading documents. One can also look to prepare a checklist before or while performing
proofreading on a document.
