★ Puppet Show Plots or Ideas

○ (Shallan) Based off of fia’s cowboy idea and a castlevania storyline. The sheriff
creates a made up monster to explain the disappearances of the town’s children
that the sheriff is secretly killing to keep the peace. But as their lies catch up to
them they start to hallucinate the monster as their grief and anxiety build though
they keep their conviction. The short ends with the sheriff taming the beast as
they’re exonerated and free of blame.

○ (Shallan) A religious cult worshiping a monster. (like a mix of these 1 and those
cult dudes from castlevania)

○ (Shallan) Something vaguely inspired by that Edgar Allen Poe story with the
heart. With willy wonka tunnel scene style imagery for the anxiety monologue.

○ (Shallan) a bright-eyed hero braves a fantastical world but finds the enemies to
be bad touch creepy: like molestation and/or sexual harassment. (vaguely like
meat canyon and king jelly bean)

○ (Fia) wild west puppet show with a visual horror twist. Traditional-sheriff-chasing
criminal nonsense but it grows more upsetting visually until the sheriff realizes
that he's been the one wreaking havoc across town in his quest to imprison his
mysterious perceived foe, but it turns out he was the criminal all along. (There
was no other criminal lol)

○ Amusing - (Shallan) a choir of muses leads our hero through various antics but
ends in tragedy as they finally lead the hero to some beast (nowhere king style)
to be killed, corrupted, or something

○ (Marenthia) puppet show where the puppets realize they are puppets being
controlled by people and that they will cease to exist or “die” once the puppet
show ends. They then have an existential crisis over when the show ends,
lament their sentience and question their free will, and ultimately spend the five
minutes they’re “alive” fretting about their consciousness.

★ (Dante) A large collaborative canvas. Big enough to where each of us can have a
decent-sized section to start with (at least letter-sized). We would start with a drawing in
our sections, and then after some time, we would all rotate to another person's section.
Rinse repeat until every section has been drawn on by each group member once. :D

★ Exquisite Corpse - (Shallan) a life-size corpse where each member designs a piece of a
corpse independently to create some crazy combination when assembled.

★ (Fia) A series of absurdist stock-photo inspired photographs taken and overlayed with
fake watermarks: strange or macabre objects and people interacting with them as
subject matter.

★ (Fia) A collage featuring the groups previous work branching out to our newer work to
show our progress.

Meaning (300 word artist statement)

World Building
What are our creatures? What kind of people exist in this world?

Plot
Build up for scary creature, then the lights turn on
Hero- Who is our hero? Start with the hero. What do they do? What is their most
important feature? Name and what they do. Add the intro line and what kind of world they live in.
Bring in conflict. What is their goal? Articulate?

Who are they?: No movement to the main character. Blank stare

Villain- Big scary goopy monster with skull? Small antag big antag

Muses 3- Introduce our character, Start neutral and join the antagonist. Gradually
progress from guy face to scary face
Script? Do we need a script
We could do just one scene? Ending similar to Monty Python with existentialism. Recognizes
the absurdity of their existence.
