readers. Books are actually one of the best sources of information. One of the
main reasons why they are considered as top sources of knowledge is because
they provide unlimited facts to the readers.
Book has different parts that help you locate some information.

Parts of a book:
Title page - give you the name of the book and the author’s name
Table of contents - help you find the names of the chapters of the book and
the page number where each chapter
begins.
Glossary - give meaning to words used in the book
Bibliography - a list of books of a specific author or publisher, or on specific
subjects.
Index -you will find listing of each topic in the book, names of people, maps in
in the book, etc.

Newspaper is another source of information in reading. The following are the


parts of a newspaper that leads us to different information.

General News
These are usually found on the front page of the paper. The title
of the news is printed in big, bold letters called “banner headline”

Editorial Page This section contains articles called editorials. Editorials give
views or opinions of the editor or publisher on certain issues or events.

and out of the country. This section also contains well-known
people in the sports world.

Classified Ads Contains advertisements that fall under the categories like “Help”,
“Wanted”, “For Lease / For Sale”, and “Wanted to Buy”.
