The Discipline camp program is designed to alter the mindset of

young people from age of 7 to 21 years old. This program helps young
people to overcome risky behaviors such as disrespecting of elders,
bad attitude, laziness, peer pressure, bad company, smoking &
alcohol habits, anger issues etc.… all these things are just in the
mind. We help them gain confidence so they can become great
leaders and leaders of
change. There are factors that causes these risk behaviors in their
lives and some of these behaviors, a child might not recover from if
the child doesn’t get help in time.

Factors that affect children’s behavior:

- Environment.
- PARENTS.
- Friends. (Company) -
- Relationship with GOD.
- These factors you should focus on when your child starts to behave in a dreadful manner,
most of parent’s struggle putting their teenagers to order because olden days and the now
days are very different however Rising Stars will empower you as a parent to become a
leader in parenting department, through our meetings, events, tours and camps.

- NOTE: if we find anything that your child “shouldn’t Bring” in the camp premises it will be
taken away and it may never be returned to him or her again, please explain this to your
child in case he/she wants dishonor your instructions.

WHAT PARENTS MUST DO WHEN THEIR KIDS RETURN FROM CAMP.

Parents must change the environment in the household, they
must become encouraging parents but not taking nonsense.
They must know that kids will have a new mindset and therefore
every good thing a child does parent must acknowledge it and
even give an award for it if they must.
 The most important thing is parents to have a strong “friendship”
with their kids, parents must pursue the friendship more than
the kids. This is how God is with us; God is our Father, but he
wants to our friends more that we want. But on the other hand,
do not fail to discipline your child if he or she does something
unspeakable hiding him with a rod/tree branch is not abuse but
love. proverbs 23
verse13 says “Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you strike them with a rod, you are
actually preventing them from death". The main reason why most kids do not behave at school
and home is because they were never raised with this verse from the start. They are now grown,
becoming unruly monsters at school and at home because they have realized that nothing will
happen to them good or bad has no
difference. No child will believe a parent when a parent warns a child of how their life will end up if a
child never experience hardship. Parents needs to remove their feelings when loving their children.
Once feelings are involved sympathy kicks in and you’d fail to discipline your child he or she will
therefore take advantage of how you feel. God shows us that loving us has nothing to do with his
feelings about us. (Imagine if God had to punish or judge us according to how he feels about us,
with all the wrong things we do we won’t survive)

AWARD CEREMONY & FOLLOW UP PROGRAM:

The award ceremony day happens 2 weeks after the camp. It is a follow up program as we give them
assignments with parents to monitor their kids after the camp on how they are behaving. Some kids
change instantly, some change gradually, few turn back to their olden ways. Awards ceremony is a
big day for them as we give awards and special awards for their improvement and
acknowledgement of what they had to go through during the camp and a discipline to obtain the
awards. It gives them sense of significance that their good deeds are very noticeable, this
encourages them to do more good. For those who are not behaving well. They will be motivated by
those who got special awards and get encourage to do good. After the ceremony we have fun, we
do quad biking, paintball shooting, jumping castles, etc.…Is to allow parents play with their kids.
 PARENTS CAMP
Parents Camp is for parents to learn how to manage a teenage child’s
behavior, most parents go through trauma and end up dying of heart
attacks because of how their kids turned to be. We are there to help
develop a skill for parents to bring up their kids in a greatest way and
become leaders in parenting department, this is another program on
its own. We believe that when kids acting in a bad way is not only their
fault.

RISING STARS TOURING CAMP

The travelling program is designed to open mind of young people, to make them realize that what
they see daily in their townships, is not all there is. Travelling helps young people to be able to
dream and live the experience on what life is. Sometimes kids behaving in an unacceptable
manner such as becoming gangsters, teenage pregnancy, bullying, drugs etc... is because they
never saw other people living in peace and harmony, they were never motivated by other people’s
discipline, therefore they give up and dwell in what they see every day, drinking and smoking as a
way to have fun and it is time to be practical.

The Cape Town Camp tour is like a reward happening towards the end of the year for kids been to
our DISCIPLINE CAMP throughout the year. The importance of the trip is strongest strategy and a
goal for your child to behave. The goal is for your child must behave her/himself throughout the year
in order for you as a parent to pay for him/her. If the child is not well behaved, will not get the
privilege to go to Cape Town, this method strengthens your voice as a parent to manage your child
behavior.
 DONATION FOR CHARITY WORK.

The Discipline Camp program raises money and donations for charity work and for maintaining
other programs that helps kids to be off streets, every year we have a charity event in Limpopo
where we give away with school uniform, school bags, sanitary pads, toiletries etc... Most parents
whom their children are under Rising stars would donate some stuff to give away with.

To any parent who would like to help in donating, Sanitary pads, toiletries, School bags new or 2nd
hand, school shoes new or 2nd hand or Money we would really appreciate. Children in rural area
value education as it is their only breakthrough from poverty, at least this is what we can do to help
these kids to better their future. On the Day of the camp, we will be having a donation box as usual,
where parents can donate whatever, they have brought.
