2. SW Recovery- Installation with the recovery DVD

□ Installing system SW with recovery DVD

Recovery SW is compose of two DVD disks. In the no.1 DVD, system OS and driver(COTS) files are
contained. In the no.2 DVD, application called UAI is contained .

[ Insert #1 DVD & BIOS SETUP]

① First, Insert No1 DVD into the DVD Drive and reboot the system.
② As soon as the system is turned on , press F7 key of the external keyboard several times .
③ You can see the booting option menu. Choose and Enter CDDVD device for system boot.
Do not choose UEFI bootinng menu

④ If the message is displayed as below, press Enter key within 3 seconds. if 3 seconds are past, Booting is
started through SSD.

⑤ System is booted by DVD driver.

⑥ Once SIM is displayed on the monitor, click [Full Setup] button.

⑦ Please press [Confirm] button then System OS will be installed.

At this point, All the data of SSD is deleted.

⑧ This stage takes about 10 minutes or longer, depends on the condition of the system.

⑨ After OS installation is completed , press [OK] button then it will be rebooted

[ Insert #2 DVD]

⑩ If the system booting is completed, it stops at the window screen.

⑪ Insert #2 DVD and find UAIManager.exe file in the DVD RW drive and run the file .

⑫ Once UAI Manager Box is popped up, select SW version and Patch version and press [Install].

⑬ After checking the version to install again, press [OK] button.

⑭ Once UAI Manager SW installation is completed, system will be shutdown automatically.

3. SW Recovery – BackUp of the Recovery Image

□ BackUp of the Recovery Image

After replacing the SSD, If the system SW installation is completed with Recovery DVD, You’d better backup the
recovery image(SW) for the use of next. But , if you think that the use of the recovery DVD is more convenient,
you don’t have to back up the recovery image surely.

① Window Mode  Start  Computer  B:\CMDS\  Execute “bootswitchX.cmd".

② Turn off Main Application and Restart the system

③ System boot up to Recovery mode, click [System Backup]

④ The backup sequence will be done .

This stage takes about 10 minutes or longer,
depends on the condition of the system.

⑤ Once SW installation is completed,

press [Ok] button. Then the system will be
restarted

□ Reinstalling the system SW with the backed-up file in SSD
You can reinstall the system SW without the recovery DVD because RS80A has the recovery SW in SSD(B drive).

Note : To install the system SW, you need a external keyboard.

① First, boot the system after connecting a external keyboard to USB port.
② After system is ready for Ultra Sound Application, enter the system to “Windows Mode”
(Method to entering Windows Mode will be provided separately.)
③ Under Windows mode, Run “B:\CMDS\bootswitchX.cmd“
Window Mode  Start  Computer  B:\CMDS\  Execute “bootswitchX.cmd"
This will set system enter to recovery mode when the system starts next time.
④ Push shutdown button and Click [Shutdown]. (Turn off system)

⑥ The recovery sequence will be done.

This stage takes about 10 minutes or longer,
depends on the condition of the system.

⑦ Once SW reinstallation is completed,

press [Ok] button. Then the system will be
restarted

□ Introducing Simple Setup Mode
Simple Setup Mode may be useful when system has malfunction and cannot start up the system.
Using #1 DVD, you can install Operating System and recall previously saved recovery image in drive B.
This option cannot gurantee that all booting issue can be fixed, but may be useful for the final method to
recover system from the failure.

At this point, drive C:[OS] D:[Main] E:[Data] of SSD is deleted, but B:\[Recovery] will be remained for system
restore followed.

This stage takes about 10 minutes or longer, depends on the condition of the system.
When Installing completes, system will ask to delete “Previously Saved Image”
Click [NO].
This will keep previous backup file to reinstall later.

⑨ After OS installation is completed , press [OK] button then it will be rebooted

⑩ After system is boot up to OS mode, run “bootswitchX.cmd" under “B:\CMDS\bootswitchX.cmd“

II. Recovering the system SW with DVD recovery disk

Recovery SW is compose of two DVD disks. In the no.1 DVD, system OS and driver(COTS) files are
contained. In the no.2 DVD, application called UAI is contained .

Note : At this time, you can use system’s Alpha Key.

1) First, Insert No1. Disk into the DVD Drive and reboot the system.
2) As soon as the system is turned on, press [Delete Word] Key in alphanumeric keyboard several times
continuously.
If Message box is popped up as below, select [SATA CD] item by using direction key and press [Enter] key.
Then, the system will be rebooted via DVD driver.
Do not choose UEFI bootinng menu

3) If the message is displayed as below, press Enter key within 3 seconds. if 3 seconds are past, Booting is
started through SSD.

4) System is booted by DVD driver.

5) Once SIM is displayed on the monitor, click Full Setup button.

6) Please press Confirm button then System OS will be installed.

At this point, All the data of SSD is deleted.

8) After OS installation is completed , press [OK] button then it will be rebooted

9) After inserting no.2 DVD into the DVD driver, reboot the system..
10) The system stops at the window mode after the system booting is completed.
At this time, run the window task manager by pressing START and Computer on the window tool bar.
And find the the UAIManager.exe file from DVD Drive and execute.

11) Once UAI Manager Box is popped up, select the proper SW version and Patch version
and press Install button.

12) After checking the version to install again, press OK button.

13) Once UAI Manager SW installation is completed, system will be shutdown automatically.

3. SW Recovery – BackUp of the Recovery Image

III. Backup of the System SW into the SSD

After replacing the SSD, If the system SW installation is completed via Recovery Disk, You’d better backup the recovery
image(SW) for the next use.
But, if you think that use of the recovery disk is more convenient than using the stored SW in SSD , you don’t have to
back up the recovery image surely . I wish to use it according to the spot condition.
Backup procedure is proceeded in the condition that the system operates normally.

① Window Mode  Start  Computer  B:\CMDS\  Execute “bootswitchX.cmd".

② Turn off Main Application and Restart the system

This may takes longer depends on the condition
of the system.
⑤ Once SW installation is completed,

1.I. SW Recovery
Recovering - Using
the system thetheinternal
SW with file saved SW
in SSD
WS80A is storing the recovery SW in SSD(B drive). So you can reinstall the system SW without the recovery DVD
disk. However, when you need to replace the SSD for service, you have to use the recovery DVD disk.
Note : Recommend to use external Keyboard

① First, boot the system after connecting a external keyboard to USB port.
② After system is ready for Ultra Sound Application, enter the system to “Windows Mode”
