The Meaning of Descriptive Text

Descriptive text is a text that decribes something/object in


spesific way. The object that will described, such a people,
animal, place and thing. The object will be described based on
the feature, amount, properties, etc.

The Social Function of Descriptive Text


a. To bring the reader fell the person, place, or thing by
using the senses;
b. To describes something/object in spesific;
c. To informasi the reader about the object in spesific;
d. To reveal a particular person,place or thing.

Generic Structure
Identification, this part explains about introduction of the object
that will be descibes and about topics which will be told.
Description, it is the description of the object based on the
spesific characteristics, nature, pleasure, his/he figur habits.
Language Features
1. Focus on Spesific Participants
2. The Use of Simple Future Tense (Subject+to be+.... or
Subject+V1+....)
3. The Use of Adjective
4. The Use of Action Verbs
5. The use of Conjunction
