Things to know
When using Beoconnect Core with Shape

• Use CAT7 cables for A2B connection.

Beoconnect Core, ensure that all amplifiers (A2B)
and the Core are disconnected from mains
when connecting the COMM connection.
Connect mains to Core and amplifier(s)
Power Link

interconnected.

• Since Core is set as A2B Primary, the input on

the amplifier(s) are disabled
• As a result, Beosound Shape cannot be
connected to a TV as a Power Link
speaker when used with Beoconnect Core.

27
Connecting Beolab 19 CAT7

What can I do with an LG TV and
Beoremote One BT?

• If you use an Apple TV as the primary source

on your LG TV, you can do basic control using
Beoremote One BT; You can navigate the
Apple TV menus using arrows, back and Home
button. See next page for button overview.

• The LG TV will start on the last used source

when pressing the TV button on Beoremote HDMI HDMI (ARC)

active source on the LG TV, you will need the
LG or Apple Remote to activate the HDMI input Power Link

Frequently asked
questions

43
Frequently asked questions

Can I distribute TV sound from Beoconnect Core?

Yes, similarly to Beosound Theatre, you can join

and expand TV-sound to other Bang & Olufsen
speakers. The sound will be delayed on followers.

Does Beoconnect Core support integrated setups

with Video Engine 1.x or 3 products?

Integrated setups are not supported. The older

platforms may indicate that an integration is
possible, but it will not work.

44
Why can I select ‘True Image’ in Sound modes?

Beoconnect Core is capable of processing two

input channels from any of its sources or inputs.

In most use-cases only two output channels are

connected, e.g. Beosound Shape or a pair of
Power Link speakers.

In these use-cases ‘Processing’ should be left on

‘Direct’ (default setting).

Continued on next page.

Stereo 2.0 output

(Regardless of whether Band on the wall,
Deezer, HDMI, Airplay etc.
45 Stereo or Social is selected)
Why can I select ‘True Image’ in Sound modes?
However, Beoconnect Core can have more than 2
outputs. When using Beoconnect Core in a Beosound
Shape, you can also add up to two Power Link speakers.

When creating this setup, ensure that ‘Processing’ is set

to ‘True Image’.

The speaker roles of Beosound Shape are fixed to Left

and Right Front.

Set the Power Link speakers to any role. Examples below:

to Left and Right front True Image is selected
Example 1: Left and Right Front
Result: Basically, you will get double stereo.

Example 2: Left and Right Surround

Result: The stereo input signal will be upmixed to the
surround channels for a more spatial experience.
