Chock the carburetter manifold flange gasket for evidence of leakage, and adjust the earbueetter if necessary (see Section Di. \ee of cracked valve Section A.3 REMOVING AND REPLACING THE ENGINE First method Remove the engine, gearbox, and transfer box as a unit by adopting the following procedure, Drain the cooling system by opening the two taps, fone on the side of the cylinder black and the other at the bate of the radiator. Rolease the radiator top and bottom hoses. Disconnect the battery. Remove the blanking platc from the top of the radiator cowl leg, taking out the 10 securing screws. The electrical harness whieh runs across the top of the plate can be moved to one side after disconnecting it at the snap connectors. Take out four set pins (two each side) from the radiator mounting frame, Lift out the radiator, Remove the front grille by taking out the 10 securing set pins (duree on each side and ovo exeh side of the front apron}, Release the clips which secure the air intake hoses to the air cleaner. Take out the set pin from one side of the air cleaner sccuring strap and lift the air cleaner out of the vehicle Disconnset the exhaust pipe from the manifold anc release the to securing points far the exhaust pipe; which are siuated below dhe chassis, one on the down pipe and one on the silencer. Remove the exhaust.
