Electron Cycles ASI Compatible Display

Quick Instructions:
Setting PAS, Power Levels and Speed Calibration

The Electron Display has a choice of different power levels: 3 – 5 and 9.

You cannot change the total maximum power (this is set up on the controller by us and
we normally set at the highest safe working power).
But you can change how you “chop up” – configure this maximum power, by
splitting/dividing it into a percentage via the power levels on your display.
This means you can fine tune the power delivered for each level.
The more power levels you chose the finer these increments can be.
For Sur Ron we pre-configure for 5 levels.
For other pedal assist bikes, we pre-configure 9 levels.
If you change the amount of power levels you have, you will need to setup the new
percentages associated with that number of levels.
Changing the amount of power levels and the associated settings is not recommended.

The display when changed to 5 levels, will default to the best settings for Sur Ron.
These will still be usable for pedal assist bikes, but maybe too aggressive in lowest
power for smooth pedaling.

Here is a quick video showing you how:

usp=sharing

Turn on the display and double press the “M” button (used as “Enter” later) to select
menu.
Use Up (+) and Down (-) arrows to navigate. Use M button to select:

1|P a g e
Select Advanced settings:

Enter 1008 for the code (use + & - and M to enter):

2|P a g e
Select assist levels (we recommend 5 for Sur Ron, 9 for pedal assist)

To access the individual assist percentages, hold both the + and - button at the same
time.
The lowest percentage is 25% (any lower and that level will not function. P does not
function).
5 Assist levels will default to our recommend Sur Ron settings. (As shown in photo)

Speedo Calibration

There are many set ups on bikes. Different: gearing, tyres. To calibrate the display
speed reading simply go into the display menu and change the wheel size. You should
not need to change the wheel size up or down more than 2 inches e.g., reset from 20 to
22.

Other Functions In Advanced Menu.

There are many functions within the display in the Advanced Settings (code1008) that
have no effect on the action of the bike and hard coded into the controller. We do not
recommend Factory Reset or any other function except PAS levels as described earlier.
