From Jamiyyat Ahle Hadees to Ahle Hadees: A Sincere Advice from One Amongst You

The Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬said, "This religion is sincere advice." (Sahih Muslim)

Know that jam'iyyat isn't a condition to spread dawah! Dawah is spread by the grace of Allah
and with the will of Allah. May Allah guide us all to the truth.

Introduction :

My dear brothers, I write to you today with love and sincerity. Some of my positions may
seem unfamiliar or surprising, especially given my past approach of avoiding criticism to
maintain unity of the jam'iyyat. However, unity at the expense of truth benefits no one.
Please take this advice in the spirit it is intended: as a reminder for us all to reassess our
positions sincerely for the sake of Allah. Ask for proofs in a spirit of learning, not refutation. I
love you for the sake of Allah and wish for you what I wish for myself. May Allah guide us all.

From the pearls of guidance of the Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬is this narration on the authority of Anas bin
Mālik -may Allāh be pleased with him-

“Be patient till you meet your Lord, for no time will come upon you but the time following it
will be worse than it.“

Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 7068

Indeed from the great tribulations upon us is that which has spread vastly and widely among
the Muslim Ummah from splitting in their ranks into groups and partisanship.

“But they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in
what is with it (as its beliefs).”

Surah al-Mu’minun 23:53

Especially in our times where the nets of Ḥizbiyyah have been beautified by its people, in the
form of discreet principles aimed to aid their deviations from the Sunnah, thus many a
people have been misguided due to it.

Why We Chose to Be Ahl al-Hadith :

We left our previous affiliations because we found their teachings did not align with the
Qur’an and Sunnah. We rejected their errors, no matter how beloved the scholars were to
us, because our loyalty was to Allah and His Messenger ‫ﷺ‬. Unfortunately, after adopting
the title "Ahl al-Hadith," many of us have developed the same blind spots of taqleed we once
warned others against. This is a reality we need to confront. Claiming to be upon the truth
means we must constantly re-evaluate ourselves—without arrogance or complacency.
The Shift in Wala and Bara :

Today, we observe that the same scholars who once criticized other groups (all deviant sects
and personalities) now tolerate errors within the Jamiyyat Ahle Hadees. Some defend
practices that contradict the Salafi methodology, dismissing them as differences of opinion
when they concern essential matters of aqeedah and manhaj.

The concept of wala and bara (allegiance and disassociation) has shifted from being for the
sake of Allah to being for the sake of the organization (jam'iyyat). It is painful to admit, but
this closely resembles the same hizbiyyah we once opposed.

Key Issues in Jamiyyat Ahle Hadees :

This is Must watch : A complete refutation on this jam'iyyat. Below are few key points and my
experiences.

1. Adopting Ikhwani Practices :

The use of voting, elections, and organizational bay‘ah mirrors practices of Ikhwani groups.

Events involving free mixing, slogans, and even music are conducted in the name of dawah.
This is far from the way of the Salaf.

The head of jam'iyyat ahle hadees hind uttering such statements which are not acceptable in
Islam.

Other blunderous statements - 23:05 https://t.me/urdusalafi/99/493

This is the result of cooperating with Ikhwani and deviant organizations, such as JIH and
Ihya al-Turath. Although Ihya al-Turath provides aid and funds to Jami'at Ahl al-Hadith on
multiple occasions, it is known for Ikhwani principles and has been refuted with undeniable
proofs by various shuyookh for spreading it through the disguise of fundings. Even the ones
from jam'iyyat agree to it being ikhwani organisation. I won't even have to prove ikhwani JIH
(jamaat e Islam). You know it better.

2. Scholarly Silence on Munkar:

Scholars have a duty to guide and warn the community. Their silence on public mistakes
creates confusion, as people may wrongly assume these actions are permissible.

The absence of clarity makes it harder for ordinary Muslims to navigate right and wrong.
Especially the double standards for the ones with in jam'iyyat and the ones outside even
though the mistakes are of similar magnitude. This is hizbiyyat (groupism) which is not
allowed in Islam.

3. Misplaced Loyalty and Fanaticism:

Terms like “Super Salafi” are used as labels to silence sincere criticism. Which we all very
well know. This discourages people from questioning issues that need to be addressed,
creating an echo chamber that limits access to beneficial knowledge by saying Indian ulama
know the conditions here and they know what's suitable.

4. The Use of Tasweer (Images):

Photography in masajid and public events, justified for fundraising purposes, goes against
the advice of earlier scholars. Badiuddin Shah Rashdi (‫ )رحمه هللا‬warned against the use of
tasweer, emphasizing that it is pathway to shirk and a heartfelt, Steen advice to ahle hadees
of that time to correct their ways.

5. The pledge to Ameer (bayah) :

If we check the conditions of joining this organisation (jam'iyyat) it involves giving pledge to
the Ameer accepting the conditions and agreeing to the Ameer to the fullest. Such principles
are incorporated from ikhwanis and non Muslims as there are no proofs from Islam for such
an Ameer and such pledges of allegiance.

They also prefer to co-operate with other organisations without any conditions of correct
Aqeedah and manhaj. (I have a pdf of this book and can confirm multiple other issues such
as obligatory deposit of money in banks)

6. Voting :

Voting in Islam is an innovation (bid'ah). The practice of selecting an Ameer through voting,
especially every five years, has contributed to divisions within the Muslims and particularly
"ahle hadees". While political parties have already divided the masses along various lines,
internal voting within jam'iyyat (associations) has further divided even pious Muslims, both
officially and unofficially.

These divisions emerge as different scholars support opposing candidates, leading to rival
factions within the community. In some cases, this has escalated into verbal attacks and
accusations, which undermine brotherhood and unity. The result is a deepening rift, with
Muslims split into various groups, unable to align under a single leader.
I have heard from witnesses regarding the evil that occurs during these votings. One of
these witnesses is a Madani aalim himself who said to one of the brothers "these votings
involve every evil thing a democratic voting has except for songs and alcohol"

There are many more such mistakes which eventually contradict the methodology of salaf.
Which is being promoted in the name of harmony be it from the stages of district programme
or from National conferences.

The Role of Scholars

Aalim kaun hai? - https://t.me/dawatusalafiyyahurdu/1254

Scholars are not infallible. Their statements must be evaluated against the Qur'an and
Sunnah. Respect for scholars does not mean following them blindly, especially in their
mistakes.

Those entrusted with educating and warning us about these evils are, unfortunately, the very
ones who remain silent. Their silence is often justified by claims of hikmah (wisdom) and
maslahat (expediency), while urging us not to cause division among Muslims. May Allah
grant them success and guide us all.

However, aren't the Muslims already deeply divided? Shouldn't the reason for divisions, like
the conditions of jam'iyyat be distanced? Shouldn't the scholars all decide and force
jam'iyyat to get rid of these evil rules or face consequences? The proposed solution seems
to be that, since every jam'iyyah has its flaws, we should overlook these mistakes and
cooperate in goodness. But how can we ignore open statements of kufr and conferences
promoting unity with innovators (bidd'atis)—especially when such events are praised by the
kibaar, and the mistakes are not even addressed or clarified?

Is this truly the Manhaj of Ahl al-Hadith? Were our Salaf ever upon such a path—one of
overlooking deviations for the sake of appearances or cooperation? No. Our unity must be
only upon Sahih Tawheed and Aqeedah.

Imam Malik said, “Everyone's opinion can be accepted or rejected, except that of the
Prophet ‫ﷺ‬.” We must adhere to this principle, no matter how beloved or influential a
scholar may be.

Innocent people are one way or the other being attached to these jam'iyyats by keeping
scholars in the forefront. Like it or not you're associated to the jam'iyyat when the masajids
you pray are under their committees, the imams are paid by their money, the conferences
and programmes are arranged by the jam'iyyat, there's no escaping that you're not related to
jam'iyyat and its evils by just concentrating on ibadah, this is what all the deviants say as
well, we leave the bad and take the good which is a false ikhwani principle.

A Call to Return to the Qur'an and Sunnah :

My brothers, the path forward is clear:

1. Seek knowledge sincerely and scrutinize whom you take it from. As Muhammad Ibn
Sireen (‫ )رحمه هللا‬said, "This knowledge is the religion, so examine from whom you take your
religion."

2. Promote transparency and accountability within any organization you are part of. A call to
transparency is not a call to rebellion but a call to sincerity.

3. Avoid fanaticism. Our mission is not to defend a name, group, or title, but to seek and
spread the truth.

Conclusion :

“The least level of imaan (faith) is to feel hatred for evil in your heart.” which means one
excuses from such evil gatherings or people. Let us strive to be among those who act upon
knowledge, standing firm for the truth even when it is difficult.

My brothers, I disassociate myself from Jamiyyat Ahle Hadees and those scholars who
knowingly defend it's errors by giving many reasons, the truth is that such scholars are
among them and responsible.

This decision comes after deep reflection with the grace of Allah. It's his mercy that these
errors were exposed to me at a time I was drifting into borderline blind taqleed, study, and
consultation from senior Salafi students of knowledge from around the world. If you seek
further discussion or evidence, feel free to reach out, In Shaa Allah. My stance is not rooted
in enmity, but in a sincere desire to return to the Qur’an and Sunnah. I pray that Allah grants
us the wisdom to follow the truth, regardless of where it leads. May He guide us to that which
pleases Him and protect us from misguidance.
