Abstract: The impact of technology has on senior high school students features both bittersweet
natures. Digital communication tools have succeeded in changing how people connect and even
become capable of fast communication and global network. Social platforms of various kinds
allow building communities and maintaining relationships across vast spaces. However, it also
brings into existence more lean opportunities for encounter-to-confront interaction; relationships
are much more superficial, and even more potential social isolation. Such is the new "noise" that
rises when artificial intelligence dominates communication-because such virtual interactions
potentially lack the depth of truly personal connections, further concerns arise in terms of
authenticity and emotional involvement. Furthermore, technology can potentially modify social
norms and expectations and the expression of empathy and understanding. Moving forward, this
research first argues that one must be both mindful and balanced in these changes: harnessing the
power of technology, yet still working to keep human relationships alive. At the end of it, it is
this broad understanding of how technologies interplay with human interaction that can help
ameliorate the relationship to build meaningful relationships in this world increasingly dominated
1. by digital communication.
