SECTION A (40 MARKS)

1. Define the term; Draughtsman, (2mrks)


2. Sketch the symbols for first and third angle projection (2mrks)
3. Why is a pencil rotated while drawing a long line? (2Mrks)
4. Construct the following angles;

ii. 105ᵒ (2 Marks)

5. Construct isosceles triangle whose altitude is 55mm and perimeter 130mm.

6. List out five information to be contained in title block. [5mks]
7. Construct a regular heptagon using the universal method (7 marks)
8. Draw the following types of lines to a length of 100mm each.

iii. Hidden line, (1 Mark)
9. Highlight uses of the following drawing instruments used in engineering
drawing.

SECTION B 60 MARKS
Attempt all questions
1. Construct an isosceles triangle given the perimeter (160mm) and the
altitude (55mm)(5mrks)
2. Construct a regular heptagon using the universal method (7mrks)
3. Construct an angle of 22.5 degrees without using a protractor (2mrks)
4. Drop a perpendicular from a point to a line AB of 60mm (2mrks)
5. A triangle ABC has sides whose lengths are AB= 100 mm, BC= 75 mm and
AC= 100 mm.
I. Construct the triangle.
II. Circumscribe the triangle
III. Inscribe the same triangle. (9marks)
6. Figure 1 shows an object in isometric projection.

Draw, in third angle orthographic projection,

2. Figure 2 below shows an isometric block. Draw the following in first angle
