Help:- MNRE Phase-II Rooftop Solar Scheme
“MNRE Phase-II Rooftop Solar Program is for Residential category consumers. MNRE
will provide Central Financial Assistance (CFA) / Subsidy as:
 CFA @ 40 % for capacity up to 3kwp
 CFA @ 40 % for capacity only for the first 3 kwp and for capacity above 3 kwp
and upto 10 Kwp, the CFA would be limited to 20 % (No subsidy beyond 10Kwp
capacity)
 CFA @ 20 % for GHS/RWA capacity upto 500 Kwp (limited to 10kwp per house and
total upto 500 kwp) ”

Only Rooftop mounted Solar System will be considered under MNRE Phase-II Rooftop Solar
Scheme.

Consumer can select empanelled agency to carry out the work. Consumer has to make
payment to the agency after deducting the eligible subsidy amount. Consumer has to borne
the cost of Net Meter along with testing charges provided by the Agency and cost towards
additional customization as per site requirement if any.

The components of a Grid Connected Rooftop Solar PV System shall essentially comprise
but not be limited to crystalline solar PV Panels/modules of required number,
Inverters/PCU, module mounting structures of minimum 300 mm ground clearance at the
lowest point from the roof surface, total Cable/wiring up to 30 m in length.

Help:- Regular Non Subsidized

13. RE Arrangements
Help :-
a. Net Metering – An arrangement, under which a Renewable Energy Generating
System with Net Meter installed at an Eligible Consumer’s premises, delivers
surplus electricity, if any, to the MSEDCL after setting off the quantum of
electricity supplied by MSEDCL during the applicable Billing Period;
b. Banked units at the end of financial year will be purchased by MSEDCL at Generic
Tariff Rate.

c. Net Billing – means an arrangement under which energy generated by

Renewable Energy Generating System is purchased by MSEDCL and MSEDCL
raises the bills on the consumer for his consumption at the approved grid tariff,
after giving credit for total generated electricity against APPC (Average Power
Purchase Cost) Rate.

d. RE Generating System Behind the meter without Net Metering/Net Billing – Grid
Connected Renewable Energy Generating Systems connected behind the
Consumer’s meter, and not opting for either Net Metering Arrangement or Net
Billing Arrangement, shall be allowed only after prior intimation to the MSEDCL.
