Narrative Report

CWTS M-07
Embarking on our community clean-up journey on April 20 and May 4, 2024, we, a group of
20 students, found ourselves amidst the bustling streets of Batstate-U. With eager
anticipation, we boarded a jeep, practically renting out the entire vehicle as we set out on our
mission. The camaraderie among us was palpable as we shared laughter and stories, united in
our purpose to make a difference.

Arriving at the Barangay Hall of Barangay Bugtong na Pulo, we sought permission from the
barangay captain to start our clean-up drive. Dividing ourselves into two groups, we set off in
opposite directions, each assigned to clean a specific area. One half tackled the right side,
while the other addressed the left.

The experience of cleaning proved both physically demand and rewarding. The hot sun was
so hot it was scorching while we were cleaning. The sweat dripping down our brows. Yet,
amidst the exhaustion, there was a sense of fulfillment and joy. The collective energy of our
group buoyed us forward, infusing each task with a sense of purpose. It was heartening to
witness how seamlessly we worked together, each member contributing their efforts
wholeheartedly.

What was particularly touching was the involvement of the children from the community. As
we swept and picked up litter, they eagerly joined in, emulating our actions with enthusiasm.
Their presence served as a reminder of the impact our actions could have on future
generations, instilling in us a renewed sense of responsibility and commitment.

Through this experience, we not only cleansed our surroundings but also forged deeper
connections within our group and with the community at large. The language of teamwork
and shared endeavor transcended any barriers, uniting us in a common goal. As we reflect on
our journey, we are reminded of the power of collective action and the importance of
fostering a sense of stewardship for our environment.

Moving forward, we carry with us the memories of our time spent together, the bonds forged
through shared experiences, and the lessons learned from our community. May this serve as a
testament to the impact of small acts of kindness and the transformative power of
unity. Together, we have made a difference, one clean street at a time.
