Title of Micro-project:-

Write 10 Paragraph And 10 Dialogue

 1.0 Rationale:-
If you want to write a story, dialogues are a very important part of the story. Writing a good dialogue requires a set of

rules to follow because a bad dialogue can change the story and the dialogue’s meaning as well. Dialogue writing is a

very important part of English writing.

Dialogue is basically a conversation between two or more people. In fiction, it is a verbal conversation between two or

more conversations. Sometimes it is a self-talking dialogue, they are known as a Monolog.

If the dialogue is bad the reader will put the book down. Without effective dialogues, the whole plot of the story will col-

lapse on its own structure. Therefore, writing dialogue in a way that attracts the reader to be more involved in the story

is not a daunting task. We will guide you to write impactful dialogue with correct rules.

 2.0 Aims of Micro-project:-

1. The students need to read the preceding and the following dialogues.

2. They must understand the topic well and make points.

3. The tenses should be accurate according to the dialogue.

4. It should seem like a natural conversation.

5. The words used should not be vague and should convey the message.

 3.0 Intended Course Outcomes:-

 The first thing you have to do before you write a dialogue is to decide who the characters are.
 You should also have a clear idea of the plot of the story, or in general, the context of the dialogue.
 Dialogues can be just a sentence, two or three lines or even a short paragraph. Whatever be the case, always re -

member that each character’s dialogue, no matter how short or long, has to be written on the next line. In other

words, no two dialogues should appear on the same line. Also see to it that you indent each dialogue.
 If the dialogues are one-liners, you can write them one after the other. On the contrary, if each of your characters

are speaking in chunks (short or long paragraphs), it is mandatory that you show the difference by using an optimum

line spacing.
 Be very careful with the tense used in the dialogue.
 It is better to skip the small talk (including greetings) and start off with the point of discussion unless the small talk is

crucial to setting the mood of the conversation.

 4.0 Literature Review:-

Here is a story with 10 paragraphs and 10 dialogues:

Paragraph 1

A young woman named Alice was walking through the woods when she came across a strange

creature. The creature was small and green, with big ears and a long tail.

Dialogue 1

"Hello," said Alice. "What are you?"

"I'm a goblin," said the creature. "I live in these woods."

Paragraph 2

"I've never seen a goblin before," said Alice.

"That's because we're very good at hiding," said the goblin.

Dialogue 2

"Can I see your home?" asked Alice.

"Of course," said the goblin. "Follow me."

Paragraph 3

The goblin led Alice to a small hole in the ground. Alice peered inside and saw a cozy little home.

Dialogue 3

"This is nice," said Alice.

"Thank you," said the goblin. "I like it here."

Paragraph 4

Alice and the goblin talked for a while. Alice learned that the goblin's name was Bob and that he liked to collect

shiny things. Bob learned that Alice liked to read and that she had a cat named Mittens.

Dialogue 4

"I have to go now," said Alice. "It was nice meeting you, Bob."

"It was nice meeting you too, Alice," said Bob. "Come back and visit me sometime."

Paragraph 5

Alice waved goodbye to Bob and continued on her way. She was glad that she had met the goblin. He was a strange

creature, but he was also very kind.

7
Dialogue 5

"I wonder if Bob will be my friend," Alice thought. "I hope so."

Paragraph 6

Alice walked for a while longer and then she came to a clearing. In the middle of the clearing was a small

house. Alice knew that this was her house.

Dialogue 6

"I'm home," Alice said to herself.

Alice went inside and she saw her cat, Mittens. Mittens was sitting on the couch, waiting for her.

Dialogue 7

"Hello, Mittens," said Alice. "Did you miss me?"

Mittens purred and rubbed his head against Alice's leg.

Paragraph 7

Alice was glad to be home. She was tired from her walk, but she was also happy. She had made a new friend and

she had learned a lot about goblins.

Dialogue 8

"I can't wait to tell my friends about Bob," Alice said to herself.

Paragraph 8

Alice went to bed and she dreamed about Bob and his home. She dreamed that they were friends and that they

were playing together in the woods.

Dialogue 9

"I'm so glad I met Bob," Alice said in her dream. "He's the best friend I could ever ask for."

Paragraph 9

Alice woke up the next morning feeling happy and refreshed. She couldn't wait to go back to the woods and visit Bob

again.

Dialogue 10

"I'm going to be so late for school," Alice said to herself. "But I don't care. I have to go see Bob."

Paragraph 10

Alice ran out of the house and headed for the woods. She couldn't wait to see her new friend again

 5.0 Actual Methodology :-
Dialogues are a crucial component of any novel you want to write. A set of guidelines must be followed methodology while writing

a decent conversation because a poor exchange might alter both the plot and the dialogue’s meaning. English writing is highly

dependent on dialogue writing.

Essentially, a dialogue is a conversation between two or more parties. It is a verbal exchange between two or more talks in works

of fiction. A monologue is a self-talking dialogue that occasionally occurs.

The reader will put the book down if the dialogue is poor. Without strong conversation, the entire plot of the narrative will fall

under its own weight. Therefore, it is not a difficult challenge to write dialogue in a way that encourages the reader to become

more interested in the plot. We’ll show you the proper rules for writing dialogue that has an effect.... Read more at:

 7.0 Output of the Micro Project:-

Speak the dialogue aloud to yourself so that you can hear it in your own voice and get a sense of how the reader will hear it.

Keep your dialogue simple and memorable because including unnecessary details will merely divert the reader’s attention from

the main idea.

Give each character a distinctive speaking style or voice. By adding a further characteristic, readers will be able to recognise the

character simply from reading his discourse.

Always keep in mind who the dialogue is directed at when composing it.

The only way the plot moves is through the dialogue, thus they shouldn’t be too long or difficult to understand .

9
8.0 Skill Developed

Dialogue Writing is an important English writing skill. It refers to the written form of a conversation between two or more people.

The dialogues should be in quotation marks, and correct punctuation marks should be used. Write in a simple, easy-to-understand

language and try to portray the tone of the dialogue in itself. The dialogues are not supposed to be lengthy. They should be short,

crisp, and to the point; otherwise, the readers will get distracted. A comma can be added to separate the dialogue from the tags.

Make sure to include the punctuation marks inside the quotation marks. Always remember to separate the dialogues for each

person and divide them into paragraphs.

 9.0 Application Of this Micro Project

Dialogues are a form of communication between two or more people. Dialogues make stories interesting, hence, these are often

used in plays. The entire plot of the story depends on the quality of the dialogue. The dialogues need to be extremely impactful

in order to leave an impression on the readers’ minds. Dialogues should be written using correct punctuation marks and good

vocabulary. Short dialogues leave a deeper impact. Good vocabulary should be used while writing dialogue. When writing

dialogues, make sure to divide them between the speakers and always use a new paragraph for a new dialogue.
