Topic's main and sub-objectives that must be reached during

course's presentation :

A-Course’s main objectives


B- Knowledge and remembering level :
This level, involves the recall of some specifics and universals, when the teacher is
required to present an outlined image about the historic path of translation.
The students are expected to participate interactively in the course, where they invoke
all their acquired Knowledge about the core prespectives that are related to language,
communication, cultural contexts.
In this light, a bunch of questions should be presented to the target students, aiming at
recalling all their gained insights about the treated topic, such as : a sort of fill in the
blanks questions and some multiple choice questions.

C- Comprehension (understanding and cognitive ) level :


Normally, in this context, module's teacher indicates the essential academic notions,
based on that the student should be familliarized with broad of features as he's
required to reform a certain combined mental links related to the presented insights,
therefore, he/she will be able in :
- Determining the nature of « Translaion Process ».
- Exploring extensively its substantive elements.
- Differentiating between the act of translating and translation process.
Moreover, the student would also be able to :
- Identifying translating act function.
- Explaining the general vital role of translation operation.
- Indicating all the treated academic basic concepts refered to this field of study.
D- Applying level :
Mainly, this phase refers to the optimal use of abstractions. So, after having a notable
capacities, the student will be able to use and apply all the gained knowledge in
various contexts, which put him/her in the position of :
- Resolving a specific problematics that are related to translation field.
- Engaging in translation practice.
- Discussing some essential points in the view of the addressed topic, which consist of
highlighting the major role of translatology in separating translating as an
independent academic discipline, in parallel with studying the linguistic interferences
in the translated academic contexts.
E- Analysing level :
It involoves deconstructing the main parts of the studied content to be divided into
pratial elements based upon some proposing a methodoligical procedures, where the
concerned student focusing on :
- Providing a systematic analaysis for all the addressed particular points (notably
about the dynamic role of translation's activity to make an effective communication,
likewise the impact of cultural specificites on bridging the various civilizations).
- Figuring out the several differences about the covered prerceptions concerning
linguistic theoris and translation approaches.
- Revealing the distinctives features of translatology or translation studies.
- The readily extraction of the marked variations between linguistic and translation
process as a scientific indepandent discipline.
F- Synthesis level :
It involves combing all the parts and elements together, so as result, the student could
with the greatest of ease studying the linguistic interferences in the translated
academic contexts, clarifying the features of general, literary, specialised and
classifying translation process main categories « Written translation vs Oral
translation interpretation ».
G- Evaluation level :
The main purpose is to provide students with skills and empower them through
translaion practise during some programmed training sessions .
In this light, the student will firstly be able to translate a short sentences from English
and French into Arabic. As well as the evaluation of the translation produced in the
module will be done by the teacher who has agreed to supervise the translated texts
or passages.

B- Course’s Sub-objectives
- Clarifying the features of general, literary, specialised.
- Figuring out the difficulties of scientific texts translation.
- Determining translation process main categories (Written
translation vs Oral translation « interpretation » )
- Evaluate students capacities in interpretation (using videos
and short passages.
- The attention in this case will be turned into passages,
notably, the literary and specialised texts.
- The main purpose is to provide students with skills and
empower them through translaion practise during some
programmed training sessions .
