STANDALONE INSTALLATION – WINDOWS

1. Click the link we have provided you by email (1.) to download the installer file. Select
“Windows”. Save the file:

a. Once the zipped installer file has downloaded, navigate to the zipped file. The
standard location is your Downloads folder. Right-click on
Maple2022.0WindowsX64Installer.zip and select “Extract All…”
b. Choose a destination to extract the unzipped files.

d. If “Show extracted files when complete” was checked, the decompressed folder
contents are shown automatically:

4. Open the Maple 2022.0 Folder, right-click on the setup-windows.exe application and
select “Run as administrator”

a. Allow the installer to make changes to the device.

b. The installer will now launch.


c. Select the installer language:

d. The Maple Setup Wizard is shown. Click Next > to proceed:


6. Accept the license agreement:

7. Choose the path to install Maple. A default path is already chosen


8. Choose if you want Maple to be the default application for Maple worksheets

9. Choose if you want a desktop shortcut


10.Choose if you would like to link Maple with MATLAB. The supported versions with
Maple 2022 are MATLAB 2021b, 2021a and 2020b

11.Keep “Single User License” selected:


12.Choose whether you would like the installer to check for updates available to your Maple
2022 installation

13.Review the Pre-Installation summary

14.Maple 2022 will install on your computer


15.Decide if you would like to activate Maple 2022 now:

16. Input your purchase code (Marked as item 2. in the example email shown in Step 2) and
click Next. Then input your information, and consent to collection of information. Hit
Next again to activate.
STANDALONE INSTALLATION - MACINTOSH

1. Click the link we have provided you to download the installer file. Select “Macintosh”.
Save the file:

2. Once the installer file has downloaded, navigate to the installer file. The standard location
is your Downloads folder:
3. Right-click “Maple2022.0MacInstaller.dmg” -> Open. Then double click Maple
2022.0MacInstaller.

4. Confirm that you want to open the installer, and authorize Maple to make changes with
your account and password:
5. The installer will now launch. If there are any Maplesoft programs open, you may see
this prompt. Please close the programs first, then return to the installer and select Retry,
and hit OK:

6. Accept the license agreement:

7. Confirm the installation directory. On MacOS, this directory is fixed.


8. If MATLAB is detected, Maple Setup asks if you'd like to configure the MATLAB
toolbox. Choose if you would like to link Maple with MATLAB. The supported versions
with Maple 2022 are MATLAB 2021b, 2021a, 2020b.

9. Select the license type. Keep “Single User License” selected for standalone installations
of Maple 2022:
10.Choose whether you would like the enable periodic checking for updates and for the
installer to check for updates available to your Maple 2022 installation:

a. If No updates are available. Press OK to continue

b. If updates are available. Press OK to continue


11.Review the Pre-Installation Summary:

12.Maple 2022 will install on your computer:


13.After installation finishes, decide if you would like to activate Maple 2022 now:

14. If activating Maple now, input your purchase code then hit Next. Then input your
information, and agree to the terms. Hit Next again to activate.
Note: The first time that Maple is launched, MacOS may request accessibility permissions. Please Open System
Preferences, unlock Accessibility settings, and grant permissions to Maple 2022:
STANDALONE INSTALLATION - LINUX

1. Click the link we have provided you to download the installer file. Select “Linux”. Save
the file:

2. Once the installer file has downloaded, open up the Terminal. Change the directory to
where the installation file was downloaded to. The default is
cd /home/$USER/Downloads

3. Use “chmod” to change access permissions to the installer file by


chmod +x Maple2022.0LinuxX64Installer.run
Then, run the file with ./Maple2022.0LinuxX64Installer.run
4. The installer will now launch.

6. Choose the path to install Maple. A default path is already chosen ("user" represents your
username):

7. Choose whether or not you would like to have a desktop shortcut:


8. Choose if you want Maple 2022 to be the default application for Maple worksheets (only
if you have previous versions installed).

9. Choose if you would like to link Maple with MATLAB. The supported versions with
Maple 2022 are MATLAB 2021b, 2021a and 2020b

Note: If you get the error "Missing host ID for license server."

You may be missing some 32-bit compatibility libraries. You can find instructions on this

16. Input the necessary information to activate:

Note: If the first time you start Maple on Linux it freezes on the splash screen you may be
missing openjfx (which allows Java graphics). This can be fixed by running

sudo apt-get install openjfx

in the terminal.
