Very Good Class! A number usually expressed in the form of a/b.
 Developmental Activities (FRACTION)
1. Engage
What do you do before you go to sleep?
In the websites www.greatfacts.com, it
says there that 44% of kids watch
television before they go to sleep. If we
are to follow this percentage, and for the
instance there are 25 kids in a certain
area, how many of them watch
television before they go to sleep?

2. Explore
I will divide you into two groups, as well
as the same groups. I have a materials
here that you needed in this activity.

I’ll give you 5 minutes to do this activity.

Understand class?
But before we start with our first group
activity, I provide standard doing group
activity The pupil will answer,

Standards in Doing Group activity

2. Respect others
3. On task behavior
You may now start answering. Finish it 4. Use a quiet voice
in just 5 minutes. finish or not finish the 5. Each one be participate
group leader will present their work. 6. Stay in your group
Did you get children?
Yes sir!
Activity no. 1
Directions: write the given percent as fraction
to simplest form.

Activity no. 2
Direction: write the percent as a fraction, then
divide the numerator by the denominator.
Percent Fraction Decimals
1. 23% 23/100
2. 50% 50/100
3. 36% 36/100 Answer.
4. 150% 150/100 1. 23/100=0.23
5. 300% 300/100 2. 50/100=0.5
3. 36/100=0.36
3. Explain 4. 150/100=1.5
Percent to Fraction 5. 300/100=3

To change the percent to fraction, remove the

percent symbol(%) and write the number as a
numerator, then the denominator 100. This
form the definition that percent means for
every 100.
EXAMPLE 1
Write the given percent as a fraction to
simplest form

Percent to Decimal
Percent may also written as a decimal number.
There are two ways to covert a percent to
decimal.
EXAMPLE 2
Percent fraction Decimal
1. 36% 36/100 36/100=0.36
EXAMPLE 3
Another way to remove the percent symbol(%),
then move the decimal point two places to the
left.this is because every percent is ratio of a
number to 100.
Percent Decimal
18% 0.18

Decimal to percent
To write the decimal number to percent
form,we may follow the two methods below:
EXAMPLE 4
Just multiply the decimal number by 100 then
affix th % symbol.
Decimal X100 Percent
0.01 0.01x100 1%

EXAMPLE 5
A shortcut would be moving the decimal point
two places to the right and affix the % symbol.

Fraction to percent
To change a fraction to percent, change into
decimal first by dividing the numerator by the
denominator. Then move the decimal point two
places to the right and affix % symbol.
EXAMPLE 6
Fraction Decimal Percent
23/100 23/100 23%

4. Elaborate
A Guided practice
Class, let’s find out if you can now

Give yourselves a GOOD JOB CLAP

Since, all of can get a correct answer.
B. Independent Practice
This time I will give you an activity, I will Yes sir!
give you 5 minutes to answer it.
Do you understand?

(distribute the answer sheet) Dave read the direction.

Please read the direction carefully

(after 5 minutes)
Finish or not finish, let’s check

(After checking)
Pass your paper in front
C. Application
This time I will give you an another activity
to check your what have you’ve learned
from our discussion.
Understand class?

watch 24-hr patrol?

b. What percent of the interviewees do not
watch TV news?
c. What fractional part of the interviewees
watch other news and current news
affair shows?
d. If 24 hr patrol and 24 viewers combined, Answers:
what is the fractional part of the a. 35/200
interviewees who watch these shows? b. 0.35x200=42 therefore 42% of
interviewees do not watch the tv
shows
c. 120/200= 0.120
(After 5 minutes) d. If the 24-hr patrol is 35 viwers then
Past it in front add the 24 viewers therefore the
D. Valuing fractional is 59/200
Class can you identify the percent, decimal
and the fraction on based on the given Yes sir!
below? How? By identifying their symbols, like the percent
have a symbol of(%), the Fraction has a fraction
bar that we conclude it a fraction. While the
decimal has a decimal point that we recognize it
a decimal.
Excellence!
Very Good!

E. Generalization
Children, what have you learned (The students have a varieties answer)
from our lesson today?

Very Good!
Did you already know now how to convert
the percent to decimal, decimal to percent,
fraction to decimal, and fraction to percent.
Lets proceed to evaluation.

V. Evaluation
Tell the learners to open their textbook and answer
pages 183-184, evaluate A and B, all even numbered
items
VI. Extend
A. Pupils who got a score 0, 1, 2, 3 answer the
“Evaluate A and B” all odd numbered items.
