REFLECTION

A. WRITE REFLECTIONS OF THE LESSONS WE LEARNED FROM LAM-ANG. LOOK FOR HIS
QUALITIES

Biag ni Lam-Ang was indeed a remarkable epic story because it shows a lot of
values in life and the culture of the Filipino. The epic story shows the importance of family.
Lam-Ang’s love for his family was selfless as he searched for his father. The leadership

skills were also manifested, he protected the town and people of Nalbuan for possible
colonization of Igorots. The epic also emphasizes the rivalry between Lam Ang and other
suitors. When Lam Ang fell in love with Ines, he fought and killed several monsters and
eventually challenged Sumarang who was a dedicated suitor of Ines. It is just a picture
how the Filipinos fight for their love, doing everything just to prove how dedicated we
are. Lastly, the Biag ni Lam-Ang depicts a very good portrayal of all the Filipinos. The

values that we get in this epic are the value of being brave because we need to have
enough courage to protect our land and our loved ones. Also, the dertermination, this
value reflects so much to Lam-ang. When he fought to the enemy of his father.
Determination because he wanted to seek justice for his father, though when Lam-ang
was born he wasn't able to see and touch his father because it was captured be the
Igorots in the forest. He did not have an opportunity to experience the love of a father. But
when knew what happened to his father, he grabbed the opportunity to revenge and
avenge for his father's death. Lam-ang is very loving and a family oriented. On top of that,
the qualities that I like in Lam- Ang was he has a word of honor and integrity in life even
though their way of living isn't the same with the girl he like but he does all his best to be
equal to wealth of Ines so that he can bestow the hand of Ines.
B. If YOU WERE GIVEN A CHANCE TO BE A PART OF NATURE, WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO
BE?

If I were given a chance to be part of nature, I would like to be a tree because trees
are vital. As the biggest plants on the planet, it gives us oxygen, store carbon,

stabilize the soil and give life to the world's wildlife. It also provides the materials
for tools and shelter. Also, the fact that the trees provide food, protection, and homes

for many birds and mammals. In addition to that trees also reduce the amount of storm

water runoff which reduces erosion and pollution in our waterways and may reduce
the effects of flooding.

C. CAN YOU COMPARE URDUJA TO OUR PRESENT WOMEN NOW? IN WHAT WAYS

Princess Urduja was known because of her bravery and skills. She ruled her
people well and wisely. Princess Urduja was not only intelligent, beautiful, and dominant

but also the very personification of kindness and virtue. However, compare to the present
woman now, they can also be a leader because most of the woman are brave to lead
others. Also, there are woman that intelligent and kind that always helping others. On top
of that, all of the woman I know was independent and strong because whenever a problem
comes, they will face it fiercely and will find solution to a problem. However, woman
becomes stronger when struggling or battling with any problems and consequencess.
