1. CHARACTERS - are the people, animals, or


aliens in the story. Readers come to know the
characters through what they say, what they think,
and how they act. It is a figure in the literary work
(personality, gender, age, etc.)

TYPES of CHARACTERS
A. PROTAGONIST-The main characters in the
story.
B. ANTAGONIST-The opposing character in the
story. Usually, they cause conflict
C. CONFIDANTE-The conspirators or side-kicks
of the protagonists. They are usually the peers of
