SAMPLE Ethical Considerations
The Respondents' involvement in this survey would be fully voluntary. It was the
respondent's choice whether or not to participate. Respondents may alter their minds and
withdraw from the survey even if they previously agreed, and this is not used against them. The
range of answering the questionnaire is about 10-15 minutes.
The researchers do not reveal any personal information about the respondents. The
information gathered by the researchers during this research project was kept strictly
confidential. Only the researcher had access to the information gathered about the respondents
and their perceptions as a result of this investigation.
Instead of the respondents' names, any information about them was numbered. Only the
researchers knew the number ID/contact information to collect data and were kept with by
assuring the participants that the data the researchers received would be confidential and would
be stored on the researchers' private storage kept under a permission request and a password to
gain access.
Voluntariness
Respondent's participation in the study was entirely voluntary, and they had the option to
withdraw at any time during the process. They were asked to sign a consent form containing
sufficient information and affirmations about the study to demonstrate the individual participants'
authorization to participate, understand the implications of participation, and freely choose
whether or not to do so. ( See Appendix for Consent Form )
No Harm.
Harm may be physical and emotional, such as worry, and discomfort. Uneasiness, a loss of
confidence, or an invasion of privacy. The study procedure must not harm the participants in any
manner, whether intentionally or unintentionally . Confidentiality. Anyone other than the
program researcher has access to or is given access to any specific data.
Confidentiality
Guarantees such as recognizing data are prohibited from any reports or distributed archives.
