ROLL NO :
Objectives:
 To become familiar with different properties of Ohm,s law.
Equipment Required:
 Breadboard
 Digital Multi-meter (DMM)
 DC Power Supply: +12V (fixed)
 Resistors:
 Connecting wires
Theory:
The voltage across a resistor is directly proportional to the current flowing through the
resistance

Procedure:

Perform the following steps to verify that:

a. Using DMM, measure the resistance (R) of ________Ω (color-coded value) resistor and
record it.
R (measured) =
b. Construct the circuit of Figure 1.1 on the breadboard and on proteus software.

c. Change the voltage source from 1V to 10V with the step of 1V. Record the readings in the
table form.

Part 1: Verification of Current (I):

d. Using theoretical values of voltage and resistance for 12V, calculate current through R.

e. Compare the calculated and measured values of current (I)

Part 1: Verification of Voltage (V):

a. Using measured values of resistance and current for 12 V reading, obtain the

value of voltage

V (measured) = I (measured) * R (measured)

V (measured) =

b. Record the theoretical value of voltage (V).

V (calculated) = I (calculated) * R(calculated)

V (calculated) =

c. Compare the calculated and measured value of voltage (V).

Part 3: Graphical Representation of Ohm’s law

a. Using the data Table 2.1, plot the measured values of voltage (V) versus current (I)
