This thesis presents the design, development, and evaluation of a novel young coconut cutting
machine aimed at addressing the challenges of manual young coconut processing. Traditional
methods are labor-intensive, time-consuming, and prone to unhygienic practices. The proposed
machine utilizes a 12-inch oscillating blade made from a durable, corrosion-resistant stainless
steel round bar, powered by a 2 hp electric motor for efficient and precise cutting. The design
incorporates safety features such as a blade guide to enhance user experience and minimize the
risk of accidents. The machine was fabricated and rigorously tested to evaluate its capacity and
efficiency. Results demonstrate a mean cutting capacity of 777 pieces per hour with 100%
efficiency, significantly reducing cutting time and improving consistency compared to manual
methods. The developed machine offers a viable and efficient alternative for producers and
consumers, potentially enhancing both productivity and product quality. Future research will
