Game
Objective:
Introduce high school students to the basic concepts of entrepreneurship by encouraging
creative thinking, teamwork, and quick decision-making through a fun and engaging game.
Materials:
Index cards or sticky notes
Markers or pens
Timer or stopwatch
Small prizes (optional)
Instructions:
1. Form Teams (1 minute):
o Divide the class into small teams of 3-5 students each.
2. Game Instructions (1 minute):
o Explain the game rules without defining entrepreneurship yet.
o Tell the students: "In this game, each team will become inventors. Your task is
to come up with a brand-new product or service idea that you think people
would love. You only have a few minutes, so think fast and be creative!"
3. Idea Generation (4 minutes):
o Each team receives an index card or sticky note and a marker.
o Teams brainstorm a business idea. Encourage them to think about:
What product or service will they create?
Who would want to buy it?
Why is it unique or interesting?
4. Pitch Preparation (2 minutes):
o Each team writes a brief pitch on their index card, answering:
What is the product or service?
Who is the target customer?
5. Pitch Presentation (2 minutes):
o Each team presents their idea to the class in 30 seconds.
o Encourage students to be clear, concise, and persuasive.
6. Reveal and Explanation (2 minutes):
o After all the pitches, reveal that what they just did is called entrepreneurship:
coming up with new ideas for products or services and figuring out how to sell
them.
o Briefly define entrepreneurship as the process of starting and running a new
business, often with innovative ideas.
7. Wrap-Up and Feedback (2 minutes):
o Give positive feedback on creativity and presentation skills.
o Highlight the variety of ideas and the different approaches teams took.
o Emphasize the importance of teamwork and communication in
entrepreneurship.
Optional:
Award small prizes for the most creative idea, best presentation, or most feasible
business concept.
Encourage students to reflect on what they learned and how they can apply
entrepreneurial thinking in other areas of their lives.
