Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to the development of computer systems capable of

performing tasks that typically require human intelligence. These tasks include problem-

solving, learning, reasoning, perception, natural language understanding, and even creativity.

AI has become a transformative force in multiple sectors, including healthcare, education,

finance, and transportation, significantly impacting how people live, work, and interact.

Types of Artificial Intelligence

There are primarily two broad categories of AI: Narrow AI (or Weak AI) and General AI (or

Strong AI).

 Narrow AI refers to systems that are designed to perform specific tasks. Examples

include virtual assistants like Siri or Alexa, which can interpret and respond to voice

commands but cannot perform tasks outside their programming. Narrow AI is widely

used today and is embedded in various applications, such as recommendation systems

(Netflix, Amazon), language models (ChatGPT), and self-driving cars.

 General AI, on the other hand, would have the ability to perform any intellectual task

that a human can. This kind of AI would have self-awareness and the ability to apply

knowledge to a wide variety of problems. While it remains a theoretical concept,

ongoing research is working toward its eventual realization.

How AI Works

AI operates through a combination of algorithms, data processing, and machine learning

techniques. Machine Learning (ML), a subset of AI, allows systems to learn from data

without being explicitly programmed. It uses statistical techniques to enable machines to

improve their performance on tasks over time by recognizing patterns in data. For instance, in

image recognition, machine learning algorithms can be trained to identify objects in photos

by processing large datasets of labeled images.

Deep Learning, a more advanced subset of ML, is modeled after the human brain's neural

networks. It involves using artificial neural networks with many layers (hence the term

"deep") to process large amounts of data and make decisions based on that input. Deep

learning has been the driving force behind many recent advancements in AI, such as speech

recognition, language processing, and complex decision-making systems.

AI has found applications in nearly every domain:

In this assignment I will discuss regarding the ChatGPT and Gemini for class assignments

and it is explicated below:

Definitions:

ChatGPT:

It’s an AI tool which can understand human language.

Gemini:

Gemini is an advanced AI tool it runs multiple programs.

Reflection

The ways AI tools helped to complete the task are mentioned below:

Firstly, I gave a prompt to AI tools to suggest me some topics about the uses of AI

tools for class assignment. Then ChatGPT suggested me these topics.

Then I choose the 3rd topic "AI-Assisted Research: Enhancing the Quality of Student

Assignments". And gave command to suggest me some suitable topics for the

assignment. Then ChatGPT gave me these topics.

Then I gave a prompt to ChatGPT to write this assignment for 1500-2000 word. Then

ChatGPT gave me an assignment and I used Gemini to proofread this and rewrite this

assignment of ChatGPT and then gave me the assignment which I copied and pasted.
 The ideation of AI tools aided to structured and outlined the topic in a better way.

Provided a clarified content to arrange the assignment.

The Challenges:

 Finding the contents for the topic there are some lacking in depth of information.

Because when I used ChatGPT as it was free version so there was lack of updated

information. But descriptive writing was very promising. In case of Gemini the

information was updated but it was writing like bullet points and descriptive writing

was very poor.

 Whatever information AI tools produce sometimes it generates out of the main topic.

 AI-based generated any information lacks proper citation.

The Ethical considerations:

While using AI tools (ChatGPT or Gemini) for generating information regarding any topic or

contents there are lots of ethical considerations to look upon it. For instance,

I. Plagiarism:

As the AI prepared assignments doesn’t provide any citation so there is a possibility

of plagiarized contents in the assignment which is unethical to do.

II. Transparency:

There is no such transparency in AI tools from where it is been sourced and these are

not transparently documented.

III. Accountability:

Working with the AI tools have no accountability no matter if the information is

correct or incorrect. Which means we remain accountable to ourselves.

IV. Reproducibility:
 As different AI tool generates content differently so there is a poor reproducibility like

every AI uses different source to write the content.

V. Accuracy:

There are higher possibilities that data or information in ChatGPT or Gemini could be

biased, inaccurate or fabricated one.

VI. Dependency on AI:

As AI tools generates contents very instantly it can make very dependable anyone to

use this which is threatening to creativity.
