Job Description – RAMS Functional Safety

Roles and Responsibilities


● Lead and manage functional safety activities according to industry standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508)
● Develop and maintain safety plans, safety cases, and safety reports
● Conduct safety assessments and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
● Identify potential safety hazards and assess their impact on system reliability and safety.
● Develop mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
● Define and document safety and reliability requirements based on system specifications and customer needs.

Requirements

● Strong knowledge of RAMS methodologies and tools.


● Proficiency in safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or similar.
● Experience with safety analysis techniques (e.g., FMEA, FTA, HAZOP).
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
● 2+ years of experience in functional safety engineering, preferably in the automotive, aerospace, or industrial sectors.

Location- Bangalore (WFO)
