1-4 Overview
When the status of HVM or LPAR has been externally changed by such means
as HVM Screen, SC/BSM, or guest OS, click Update button (see “Updating
Configuration Information”).
1. In System List group box, select “All configuration” from the combo box.
The components of the selected system configuration including all target
HVMs for configuration list display or configuration diagram display appear
in the lower left tree view inside System Configuration group box.
Alternatively, you can click to select the upper chassis icon not including blade
icons, and then click Show Detail button.
3. In the “Export CSV” window opened, check the check boxes corresponding
to the desired types of information, which are the same as those checked
in displaying assorted lists of information in the “HVM Configuration
Information” (see “Displaying HVM configuration list”) and the “LPAR List”
window (see “Displaying LPAR configuration list”). Then, click Select
button to open the “Browse For Folder” dialog.
5. In the “Export CSV” window returned, the path to the selected folder
appears in the text field of Export Folder Selection group box. Click
Export button.
HVM
LPAR
As a result of the above steps, one consolidated CSV file is created with the
name you specified. See “Configuration information format in exported CSV
file” for the format of their content.
To cancel the update processing during the progress, click Update Cancel
button that toggles with Update button.
Either of the actions below during update processing may sometimes cause
information display of the components in System Configuration tree view to
be unavailable in the right pane.
A different tab (Profile, LPAR Configuration, Monitoring, Migration or
F/W Update) in the “Main” window is clicked during update processing.
Update processing is disrupted by selecting Update Cancel button.
When the said Event occurs, take actions according to “When Registered HVM
Information Is Not Shown.”.
3. The “New System” dialog opens. Type a unique name for a configuration
file to be created in the text box and click OK button.
7. The selected chassis and HVMs are added to the tree view in Selected
System group box in the right while their counterparts in All System tree
view in the left are highlighted in gray.
9. The selected HVM is added to the tree view in Selected System group box
in the right while the counterpart in All System tree view in the left is
highlighted in gray. The chassis configuring the HVM may not be
highlighted in gray.
11. When the save processing is successfully complete, Config List button and
Config View button become operative. In the event of an error, an error
message will appear.

Troubleshooting 5-1
Solution
This Event occurs when many objects are registered to HVM Navigator or
when the management server running HVM Navigator is operating under a
heavy load. To make the operating environment more comfortable, it is
recommended that you review the content of System Configuration tree
view on Profile tab, and delete objects unlikely to be processed by HVM
Navigator from registration, in particular those objects which are continuously
powered-off or not existing.
5-2 Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting 5-3
Auto Shutdown Status of Auto Shutdown setting (“ON” or “OFF”) V01-00 or higher
NUMA (EFI) Memory interleaving setting (“ON” for UMA, or V03-05 or higher
“OFF” for NUMA)
BSM 1 to 4 Alert Port Alert Port of BSM1 through BSM4 V02-01 or higher

The values of items which have not been retrieved show ‘-‘.
The items for CPU, those of NICs, and those of HBAs are aligned
respectively when you show an HVM Configuration List window with 2 or
more of Config, Physical NIC, Physical HBA, and Physical CPU check
boxes checked. At that time, some fields may show ‘-‘, depending on
differences between the numbers of CPU, NIC, and HBA devices installed.
For example, when you show an HVM Configuration List window for an HVM,
with 16 of physical CPUs, and 4 of physical NICs and physical HBAs, the 5th
to the 16th rows of the columns for NICs and HBAs, show ‘-‘.
NUMA Memory Size NodeX Memory size allocated to a node V03-05 or higher
(X: Node Number) Whereas, when NUMA (EFI) is set to “OFF”, ‘-‘ is
displayed.
Processor Node Config Displays the way to specify NUMA node for physical V03-00/D or higher

1) One or more nodes are assigned to an LPAR
automatically when you activate the LPAR.
2) NUMA is set to disabled on BIOS or EFI.
