KIARING HIGH SCHOOL

GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS FOR INTRAMURALS ACTIVITIES 2019

 For songs and yells


1. This competition is open to all students of Kiaring High School.
- 30 participants per group.
2. Songs and yells should be limited for minimum of 3 minutes and maximum of 5 minutes.
3. There will be a deduction in every performance that goes beyond the time limit. 5 points
deduction per minute and fraction thereof.
4. No musical instrument, no accompaniment, costumes are allowed.
5. For props, 1 kind of props only is allowed, can be hand painting or any object as props.
6. Words could be chanted or given melody accompanied by different moves or actions done on
place.
7. Criteria for Judging.
Mastery 40%
Execution 30%
Voice 30%
Total 100%
8. Each contestant shall be given a number to determine the sequence of performance.

 For Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2019

The competition shall be held at the barangay plaza during the 2019 KHS Intramural Games
Opening Ceremony on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, 2 p.m. and will be divided into parts:

1. For exposure:
- During the production number, the candidates will wear their sports attire. The wardrobe
should be related to the sports they have chosen.
- Uniform wear, the candidates must wear the desired uniform of Kiaring High School.
- Casual attire, for the female candidates, no sleeveless allowed, no knee exposure, no see
through garments, should wear make-up, shoes or sandals with heels must be 2 – 3 inches
high and for the male candidates, no sleeveless allowed, no t-shirts allowed, no jeans
allowed, should wear slacks and long sleeves, should also wear light make-up, should wear
any close shoes, rubber shoes are not allowed.

2. The Production Number – where the candidates will present a choreographed dance number.
This is the crucial portion where they have to create a positive first impression.
3. Introduction of Candidates – where the candidates introduce themselves and the group they
are representing. They will then give a brief and concise speech on the topic “The Essence of
the intramural Games” – this is where the judges will look for personality projection

4. Individual Walk & Pose – this is where the judges will assess them for their physical attributes,
confidence, poise, and overall impression.

5. Question and answer – where the candidates will be given 1 minute only to answer the
question being asked. If the buzzer starts ringing, it is the time for every candidate to stop
answering whether it is finished or not. On this part, the candidates will be given answered
questions. All they have to do is to memorize each answered questions. It is up to the
candidates how they will deliver their answer.

6. Declaration of Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2019 – where the candidate gained the highest total
amount of money will be declared as Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2019.
