Weekly Internship Report

Model School Society – Alumni Team

Week of 28-10-2024 to 30-10-2024

Reported by INBASELVA.J

Weekly Summary

Throughout this week, my focus was on building and enhancing alumni communication
channels, updating critical student data, and ensuring smooth follow-ups with specific
student groups. These efforts contribute to a robust support system for alumni and
current students, fostering long-term engagement within the Model School Society.

Tasks Completed

 Follow-up with Paramedical Counselling Alumni: Conducted follow-ups with

alumni who had been part of paramedical counselling. During these follow-ups, I
collected and updated their contact information and current professional status,
which assists in mentoring programs and maintaining a record of their career
paths.

 Updated Academic Records for 12th-grade Students: Compiled and recorded

recent mock test scores and other pertinent data for current 12th-grade
students. These updates are crucial for assessing academic progress and
providing targeted support where necessary.

Challenges Encountered and Solutions

 Data Accuracy in Student Records

The process of collecting accurate and updated information posed challenges,
particularly when details for paramedical counselling alumni and 12th-grade
students were inconsistent or missing.

Solution: I employed a dual approach of cross-checking historical records and reaching

out directly to students to verify information. This enabled us to improve the reliability
of the data and will aid in developing a more effective data collection system.
Skills Gained

 Enhanced Communication Skills: By engaging with alumni and students, I

improved my interpersonal and professional communication abilities.

 Organizational Skills: Gained experience in data management and organization,

particularly through updating multiple data sheets and implementing
verification procedures.

Reflection on the Week

This week highlighted the importance of maintaining organized communication

channels and the challenges of managing high volumes of data. The experience taught
me the value of adaptability and the need to stay mindful of platform guidelines while
coordinating group activities.

Goals for Next Week

 Refine the process of updating student data to improve accuracy and efficiency in
future data management.

Conclusion and Thanks

In conclusion, this week has been both productive and insightful, highlighting the
importance of organized communication channels and precise data management in
supporting alumni and current students. Despite a few challenges, such as managing
platform constraints and ensuring data accuracy, these experiences have helped me
develop critical problem-solving and organizational skills. Each task completed
contributes toward building a more connected and supportive community within the
Model School Society.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the alumni team and my supervisors for
their guidance and support. Their insights and encouragement have been invaluable,
enabling me to work effectively and learn continuously throughout the week. I look
forward to applying these lessons as I continue contributing to our alumni network and
student data initiatives in the weeks to come.
