Informative Speech Outline Template

I. Introduction
a. attention getter-(what will you say to "bring the audience into your speech?")
b. thesis statement
1. general purpose- to inform you on (name of topic here)
2. specific purpose- what is the purpose of your speech and/or why did you select this topic?
How does it relate to your audience? Mention the three main points you will speak on as well.
c. criteria- by the end of the speech, what do you want your audience to understand?

II. Body

a. subpoint-two to three complete sentences, ultimately comprising of a paragraph
