PROJECT 1: Customers

Overview: You recently opened an only toy store. You sold 500 products for individual
customers. You are evaluating the customer data and order data. Open the Customers
workbook.

1. In the “Customers” worksheet, display the filter arrows in the header row and configure
the table style options to automatically shade every other table row.
2. In the “Customers” worksheet, sort the record by Country/Region field (United State
first and Canada secondly, alphabetically ordered (A-Z) by State Province, and then in
ascending order by Postal Code.
3. In the “Customers” worksheet, filter the data so that only State Province that start with
“Pen” are displayed.
4. In Weigh Column of “Products” worksheet, format cells above average value with bold
font style; Blue, Accent 1 text color. Settings automatically updated when change number.
5. In cell E2 of the “Orders” worksheet, use Excel function to return the highest value in
Total Order Column.
6. In “Orders” worksheet, remove duplicate of ID customers.
7. In “Customers” worksheet, configure row 3 on all printed.
8. Navigate to cell range named “ID”. Remove the content of the selected cells.
PROJECT 2: FishingSupplies
Overview: A small discount fishing supply store is creating an inventory report. They
need help with charts, hyperlinks, and applying conditional formatting. You have been
asked to assist. Open the FishingSupplies workbook
1. Join cells A1:E1 of the “Tackle” worksheet into one cell. Do not make any changes to
the alignment of the contents.
2. On the “Carriers and Coolers” worksheet, create a link for quick access to cell A4 on the
“Tackle” worksheet from both cells C11 and C12. Change text to display in C12 to
“Sample1”.

3. On the “Carriers and Coolers” worksheet, expand the pie chart data range to include
the rest of the rows in the table. Then, change the layout of the chart to Layout 7. Move
Chart to new sheet named “Chart”.
4. Configure the “Tackle” worksheet to print it on a single page in landscape orientation.
5. Display data in E column on the “Tackle” worksheet with currency of US and two
decimal places.
6. In Inventory chart of “Carriers and Coolers” worksheet, add “Price” as the vertical chart
title. Remove the horizontal title.
PROJECT 3: SCUBAGearRental
Overview: You own a small SCUBA diving concession in the Caribbean. You need to
update your Inventory workbook to include new items. Open the SCUBAGearRental and
New Model workbooks.
1. Beginning at cell A16 on “Sheet1” worksheet, import the list from the comma-delimited
source file MoreToys.csv located in the [10Education]MOCK TEST 4 folder. Use the first
row as header. Add the data to the data model. Then convert the imported data to range and
clear its formatting.
2. In the “Balance” worksheet, filter the Debit column in the Assets section by the Green
Cell color.
3. Copy only the value of the “New Inventory” worksheet into the range from A6 of the
“Boats” worksheet.
4. Rename the table “Table15” to “Assets”.
5. Create a new worksheet called “Cover Page” between “Sheet1” and “Boats” worksheet.
6. Change the “New Inventory” worksheet view to Page Layout. In the Header section,
insert filename on the left side and sheet name on the right side. In the Footer section, insert
number of pages, page number and current date in that order.
7. In cell E18 of “Balance” worksheet, use a function to calculate how many missing values
in the Credit column.
8. In “Balance” worksheet, use Excel function to prepare debit and credit in the Assets
Balance. If debit was equal or lower than credit, the Status will be “Surplus”, otherwise is
“Deficit” result.
PROJECT 4: IceCream Shop
Overview: A shop you manage sells custom flavored ice cream. You are tracking the cost
and profit of each flavor and summarizing the information in a workbook. Open the
IceCream Shop workbook

1. Simultaneously replace all occurrences of the word Choco with Chocolate in the “Costs”
worksheet.
2. In cell B28 on the “Profits” worksheet, insert a formula that displays the average sales
number.
3. Modify the chart on the “Profits” worksheet so the Flavors are displayed as Horizontal
Axis Labels and Expense and Income are the Legend Series. Then, modify the chart so the
Legend appears at the Top.
4. Margin is defined as Price minus Cost. Calculate Margin column in “Costs” worksheet.
5. Use an Excel 2019 feature to display the formula in each cell instead of the resulting value
on the “Costs” worksheet.
6. In A1 of “Profits” worksheet, use an Excel function to capitalize all characters from cell
A1 of “Costs” worksheet.
PROJECT 5: EmployeeBonuses
Overview: You are the HR Director for FusionTomo. The store offers bonuses to
employees who meet quarterly sales goals. You have been tasked with preparing the tables
that track the sales and bonuses. Open the EmployeeBonuses workbook
1. Extend the formula in cell G4 into each employee in the Bonuses table.
2. On the “Parts” worksheet, merge “A1:F1” and left-align text with indent 1. Add
“CompanyName” as new name for the range recently created.
3. On the “Employee Bonuses” worksheet, remove the table functionality of the Rates
table. Retain the cell formatting, the location of numbers and data.
4. In cell F4 on the “Parts” worksheet, insert a line sparklines that graphs the trend of sales
from Jan through Mar. Customize this line to present the highest point and lowest point of
each line. Then clear the one that belongs to Adrian.
5. In the “Part” worksheet, customize row 5 so that it is still present but invisible.
6. Delete Parts column in the “Employee Bonuses” worksheet.
PROJECT 6: BikeSales
Overview: You are the administrative assistant for a retail store that sells bicycles. You
have been tasked to modify a workbook to report the sales for the first quarter. Open the
BikeSales workbook.
1. Configure the “Sales” worksheet so rows 1 through 3 remain visible as you scroll
vertically.
2. Add the Subject “Equipment Draft” to the document properties.

3. Configure Excel to print only cell range A1:F18 on the “Sales” worksheet.
4. On the “Sales” worksheet, insert a function in cell B20 that calculates all quarter 1 sales
from the Total column.
5. In cell B5 on the “Sales” worksheet, insert a function that joins the catalog Description
to the Style on Catalog sheet, separated by a hyphen. Include a space on both sides of the
hyphen. (Example: Cross Country - Hardtail).
6. On the “Accounting” worksheet, insert a formula in cell C9 to calculate the percentage
for each month and fill the formula to the other cells in the range C9:G11. Used mixed
referencing to ensure that the formula works when copied.
PROJECT 7: RockCrawlingTrails
Overview: The city of Moab host various Rock Crawling events. You have been tasked
with tracking successful attempts. Open the RockCrawlingTrails workbook.
1. Display the Total Row for the table located on the “Qtr 1” worksheet.
2. On the “Qtr 1” worksheet, in the Maximum row, insert a formula in column B that returns
the greatest number of successful attempts for the month of January.
3. On the “Qtr 1” worksheet, use the data contained only in the Trail, Jan, Feb and Mar
columns to create a 3-D Clustered Column chart. Do not include Total data. Name the chart
to “Trail Data”. Position the chart to the right of the table.
4. On the “Qtr 2” worksheet, create a table from cell range A9:E14 by applying the Table
Style Medium 18. Use the data in row 9 as headers.
5. Apply Style 3 to the pie chart on the “Qtr 2” worksheet. Move this chart to a new
worksheet right next to “Sheet1” worksheet and rename new worksheet to “Qtr2.1” then.
