Ans: - Selection of a Word or Paragraph is generally done with
the help of mouse and keyboard.

Ans: - To select a word or paragraph with a mouse, follow the
steps given:-
a) To select the entire document, go to Home Tab.
b) In the Editing group, click the Select-> Select All Option.
c) Move the Mouse pointer and drag it over the text to select
the desired text.
No.3) How do you Select Word or Paragraph with a Keyboard?
Ans: - To select a word or paragraph with a Keyboard, follow
the steps given:-
a) To select one character to the right-> Press Shift and Right
Arrow Key (->).
b) To select one character to the left-> Press Shift and Left
Arrow Key (<-).
c) To select a line from its beginning press End key then press
Shift + Home key.
d) To select the entire document press Ctrl + A.

Ans: - Moving is also known as Cut and Paste. It allows the user
to remove selected text from the word document to a different
place. To move the text or paragraph, follow the steps given:-
a) Select the text or paragraph first.
b) Click the Cut button from Clipboard Group in Home tab or
Press Ctrl + X.
c) Place the cursor to the place where you want to insert the
text and Click the Paste option from Clipboard Group or
Press Ctrl + V from Keyboard.
No.5) What is Copy? How do you copy a Text or Paragraph?
Ans: - Copy is used to make a duplicate of a word document. To
copy the text or paragraph, follow the steps given:-
a) Select the text or paragraph first.
b) Click the Copy button from Clipboard Group in Home tab
or Press Ctrl + C from Keyboard.
c) Place the cursor to the place where you want to insert the
text and Click the Paste option from Clipboard Group or
Press Ctrl + V from Keyboard.

Ans: - Page Layout is used to describe how a document will
appear, when it is printed. It includes the following groups such
as Themes, Page Setup, Page Background, Paragraph and
Arrange.
No.7) What is Page Margin and How do you set Page Margin?
Ans: - Page Margin is the blank spaces around the edges of
Page. To set the Page Margin follow the steps:-
a) On the Page Layout tab, Click Margins from Page Setup
group.
b) Click on either from the predefined margins- Normal,
Narrow, Moderate, Wide, Mirrored or Custom Margins.
c) Click on Custom Margins to open Page Setup window.
d) Now set the Top, Bottom, Left and Right margin of the
page.
e) Click OK to finally set the desired margin.

Ans: - The view of a page in Microsoft Words before its printout
is known as Paper or Page Orientation. The default Page
Orientation in MS Word is Portrait mode. There are two (02)
types of Orientation, they are:-
1. Landscape Orientation.
2. Portrait Orientation.

Ans: - To set the Page Orientation follow the steps:-
a) On the Page Layout tab, Click Orientation from Page
Setup group.

Ans: - Paper size refers to the area of the paper or sheet size. It
is the size of the paper used for printing. The popular paper
sizes in MS-Word are:-
1) Letter Size- 8.5” x 11” inches.
2) A4 Size- 8.27” x 11.69” inches.
3) Legal Size- 8.5” x 14” inches.
