Describing a picture in Past tense

Useful language

1. Start by Setting the Scene

 “This picture was taken [last week / last month / last year / on my birthday / during my trip].”

 “In this picture, I was at [a party / a beautiful place/the beach / my friend’s house / a Zoom call / a
trip / in my first language class.”

 “It was a [special day / holiday / birthday / celebration first day of class / last trip].

2. Describe Who Was There

 “I was with [my family / my friends / my classmates/ the teacher / my team].”

3. Say What Was Happening
