The Lab Process

Version 1.3, January 2023

Introduction
Labs are a vital part of your study process; they allow you to solidify concepts you encounter
in the classroom through practice and hands-on activities and exercises. This document will
guide you through the process of opening, completing, and submitting labs.
Most of the labs in this course are documents stored on the Google Cloud and are in Google
Docs format.
Note: You only have view permissions to these documents, so you will need to copy the lab
file and use an editor to edit the lab document.
Most labs contain questions and/or require adding images. Please type answers and paste
images directly into the lab document. There is no need to print the file.
IMPORTANT: Do not click the “Request edit access” button on the lab documents. Please
complete this guide to understand how to proceed with the lab process.

Objectives
Part 1: Describe how to complete a lab.
Part 2: Describe how to submit a lab.

Recommended Equipment
● A device with Internet access.

Part 1: Describe how to complete a lab.

There are two slightly different methods for completing a lab, depending on whether you
have a Google account or not. We will explain both paths. Please follow the method most
relevant to you.

Case 1: You do not have a Google account.

(If you do have a Google account, skip to Case 2.)
