4-Week IELTS Intensive Study Plan

Week 1: Comprehensive Review & Targeting Weaknesses


Goal: Goal: Refresh all modules and pinpoint recurring weaknesses in each section.

Day 1

- 2 hours - Listening: Complete a full Listening test from Cambridge. Review mistakes, noting weak
question types.
- 1 hour - Analysis: Analyze incorrect answers and note common pitfalls.
- 1 hour - Additional Practice: Use 'Road to IELTS' for weak question types, such as multiple choice
or sentence completion.
- 1 hour - Reading: Complete one Reading passage, focusing on accuracy.
- 1 hour - Review Answers: Go over any incorrect answers, focusing on question types (e.g.,
True/False/Not Given).
- 2 hours - Writing Task 1 Practice: Write two Task 1 responses and focus on different graph types.
Analyze structure, vocabulary, and clarity.

Day 2

- 3 hours - Writing Task 2 Practice: Write two essays on common topics. Focus on idea structure,
coherence, and vocabulary. Review your answers.
- 2 hours - Speaking Practice Part 1 & 2: Practice with a partner or record responses. Focus on
fluency and grammar accuracy.
- 2 hours - Mock Test Review (from Week 1 tests): Identify patterns in mistakes and areas needing
improvement.
- 1 hour - Grammar & Vocabulary Review: Focus on vocabulary specific to IELTS Writing and
Speaking, especially topic-related words.

Week 2: Intensive Skill Improvement


Goal: Goal: Develop targeted strategies for weak areas and improve timing.

Day 8

- 2 hours - Listening: Do a challenging Listening test from Cambridge, focusing on timing.


- 2 hours - Review Session: Go through all mistakes in detail. Identify specific question types (e.g.,
maps, multiple choice) that need more practice.
- 1 hour - Listening Targeted Practice: Focus on weaker sections using 'Road to IELTS' and repeat
listening exercises for improvement.
- 1 hour - Reading Practice (Complex Passages): Work on challenging passages with difficult
question types.
- 2 hours - Writing Task 1 Practice: Write two more responses on complex visual data, such as
maps or process descriptions. Review each one.

Day 9

- 4 hours - Mock Test (Full Length): Take a full test under timed conditions. This includes Listening,
Reading, Writing.
- 4 hours - Test Review and Analysis: Analyze each section thoroughly. Identify weak sections to
focus on in the upcoming days.

Week 3: Polishing Techniques and Timed Practice


Goal: Goal: Strengthen speed and accuracy in each module while addressing any remaining weak
points.

Day 15

- 2 hours - Listening: Focus on one section with the most challenging question types. Practice
multiple exercises.
- 2 hours - Reading (Intensive Practice): Complete one full Reading test from Cambridge, focusing
on speed.
- 1 hour - Targeted Review: Go over mistakes and re-attempt difficult questions in Reading.
- 2 hours - Writing Task 2: Write a timed essay, focusing on improving coherence and vocabulary.
- 1 hour - Speaking Part 3 Practice: Discuss abstract topics, recording responses for fluency
improvement.

Week 4: Final Prep and Test Simulation


Goal: Goal: Refine test-day strategies, ensure speed, and boost confidence.

Day 22

- 4 hours - Mock Test Simulation (Full Length): Complete a full test under test-day conditions.
- 2 hours - Detailed Review: Analyze each answer and identify any last-minute areas for
improvement.
- 1 hour - Vocabulary and Grammar Revision: Review commonly used words and phrases for IELTS
Writing and Speaking.
- 1 hour - Speaking Practice (Full Test): Simulate a full Speaking test, recording responses and
reviewing.

Day 23

- 2 hours - Targeted Weak Area Practice: Go over the module where you lost most marks in the last
mock test.
- 2 hours - Listening & Reading Timed Practice: Complete one Listening and Reading section
back-to-back to build stamina.
- 1 hour - Writing Task 1 Review: Write a Task 1 response under time limits, focusing on clarity and
grammar.
- 1 hour - Speaking Part 2 Practice: Focus on fluency in a variety of topics.
- 2 hours - Rest and Light Review: Lightly review notes, vocabulary, and grammar tips. Avoid
intensive study.
