Data Analysis Practical # 3

You work for a school called Falcon International School. You are going to
manipulate a spreadsheet about the performance of students in their exams.

1. Using a suitable software package, load the file Data.csv


2. Place your name, grade and Centre number in the header. Place the automated
file name and file path in the footer.
3. Insert 2 new rows above row 1.
4. In cell A1 enter the text Falcon International School
5. Format this text as a black 24 point sans-serif font.
6. Merge cells A1 to M1 so they become a single cell with centre aligned text.
7. In cell A2 enter the text Student Record
8. Format this text as a black 18-point serif font.
9. Merge cells A2 to M2 so they become a single cell with centre aligned text.
10. Save the data model with the filename Student Record.
11. In cell I4 enter a function to calculate total marks of George.
Replicate this function so that the total marks can be calculated for each student.
12. In cell J4 enter a formula to calculate percentage of George.
Percentage = Marks secured x 100 Total
marks

Replicate this formula so that the percentage can be calculated for each student.
13. In cell K4 enter a function to calculate average marks of George.
Replicate this function so that the average marks can be calculated for each
student.
14. In cell L4 enter a function to calculate maximum marks of George in any subject.
Replicate this function so that the marks can be calculated for each student.
15. In cell M4 enter a function to calculate minimum marks of George in any subject.
Replicate this function so that the marks can be calculated for each student.
16. Save your file.
17. Adjust column width of all cells so that the data in all cells is visible.
18. Turn on wrap text where ever necessary in row 3 and 4.
19. Format the cells from A3 to M14 as black 11-point serif font.
20. Format the cells from A3 to M14 so that they have all thin borders.
21. Set all margins to 0.25.
22. Save your file.
