A EARTHWORK
Earth work in surface excavation up to 20-30 cm in depth &
manual levelled for PCC including disposal of
1 SQM
excavated earth within site as per directed by the Project In
Charge.

Filling with selected Earth bought from outside, in trenches, sides


of the foundations, plinth & plot etc., in layers not exceeding 30
cm. in depth, including breaking the clods, watering to optimum
moisture content, ramming and compacting by mechanical
means to achieve 98% proctor density using mechanical
2 vibrator, including freight, transportation, loading, unloading, CUM
screening, passes etc. all complete as instruction & directions of
the Engineer-in-charge (Consolidated measurements of fill shall
be paid for under this item). The rates shall include for all leads
and lifts including transporting using mechanical / manual means
within the plot area.

Filling with selected Earth bought from stacked space ( within 1.5
Km ) provided by GIFT authority while excavation , in trenches,
sides of the foundations, plinth & plot etc., in layers not
exceeding 30 cm. in depth, including breaking the clods, watering
to optimum moisture content, ramming and compacting by
mechanical means to achieve 98% proctor density using
3 CUM
mechanical vibrator, including freight, transportation, loading,
unloading, screening, passes etc. all complete as instruction &
directions of the Engineer-in-charge (Consolidated
measurements of fill shall be paid for under this item). The rates
shall include for all leads and lifts including transporting using
mechanical / manual means within the plot area.

Providing & Filling selected Fine sand brought from outside in


foundation, Plinth, below grade slab etc. in layers of 150mm and
4 as specified including loading, unloading, watering, ramming, CUM
consolidating the same to achieve compaction of the fill up ,
Leveling, dressing etc. complete at all levels, as directed.
Providing & making temporary shoring with planking, strutting
the excavated soil sides including all props,planks,supports, nut

Project In Charge.

B CONCRETE WORK
Providing, Laying, leveling etc. in true line and level machine
mixed and machine vibrated plain cement concrete of 1:4:8
(1cement: 4coarse sand: 8graded stone aggregate 20mm
1 nominal size). for foundation, below grade slab all as per given CUM
drawing. The work shall include placing, tamping, curing etc.
complete at all levels as directed. The rates shall be quoted for
all depths, heights & leads.

RCC:Providing and laying in position machine batched, machine


mixed design mix cement concrete with OPC 43/53 grade
cement for reinforced cement concrete using cement content as
per IS 8112 or as per approved design mix adopted by the
Contractor having the required water cement ratio in adherence
to the relevant values in IS Codes. Cement Grade for the
design mix shall be submitted by the Contractor for approval to
consultant. 10 & 20 mm nominal size well-graded approved
quality aggregate and river sand shall be used. Work shall
include pumping of concrete with required proportion of

admixture, vibrating/compaction, curing, cleaning, preparing the
surface but excluding the cost of centering, shuttering, finishing
and reinforcement. Concrete mixing shall also include cost of
cementatious materials like Fly ash, Silica fume alcofine etc. as
required by design mix along with suitable admixtures,
Admixtures in recommended proportions as per IS 9103 to
accelerate, retard setting of concrete, improve workability without
impairing strength and durability as per direction of Engineer-in-
charge. Complete to the satisfaction of the Engineer-In-Charge at
all depths, heights and leads.

Concrete for Large pour construction [ Raft Foundation]


Providing and laying in position machine batched, machine
mixed design mix cement concrete for raft foundation for
reinforced Cement , cement content as per IS 8112 or as per
approved design mix adopted by the Contractor having the
required water cement ratio in adherence to the relevant values
in IS Codes. The contractor shall have to submit pouring
sequence of concrete to avoid cold joints. The contractor shall in
his method statement demonstrate limit temperature differential
between hottest and coolest position in the concrete to less than
20º C by means of adequate thermal insulation of exposed
surface throughout the curing period. Curing agent shall be
applied on exposed surfaces as early as possible within 3-4

hours of concreting so as to avoid aby cracks due to shrinkage.
The design mix shall be submitted by the Contractor for approval
to consultant. 10 & 20 mm nominal size well-graded approved
quality aggregate and river sand shall be used. Work shall

C REINFORCEMENT STEEL
Providing, supplying, fabricating and placing / fixing in
position Reinforcement bars confirming to IS-1786
reinforcement for RCC structures as per design including
transporting steel to the work site, handling, decoiling, cutting,
bending, cranking, fabricating to required shape, placing in
position and tying / binding the system with 16 gauge GI (not less
1 than 1.0 mm with two strands) wires, welding if necessary etc.,
for all floors / all levels / all heights complete as per specifications
and direction of Engineer-In charge. Measurement will be made
on the length basis and converted into weight by using standard
co-efficient. The quoted rate should be inclusive the cost of
Binding wire and the same will not be measured and not paid
separately.

D SHUTTERING WORK
Providing, Fixing & Removal of Centering, shuttering, formwork
etc. of any shape and design with required height of staging &
supporting etc. for complete structure as per design, drawing &
specifications, including all materials, labour complete as per
directed by Engineer-In- Charge to his entire satisfaction.
Steel shuttering or 12 mm thick approved quality ply board
shuttering is to be used for any concrete work. The quoted rates
includes for Design of form work and submitting the design
calculations with shop drawings for approval of consultant.
Contractors shall submit drawings showing the scheme of
formwork (shuttering) for all items of work detailed as under -
Formwork shall be designed for rigidity, durability, strength, water
tightness, easy removal etc.,

Formwork designed with proposed materials (to be approved
prior to making) shall be able to retain its shape, line, dimension,
level within the allowable limits of variations. Props shall be only
steel props (H frames).
The form work measured shall be the area of concrete in contact
with concrete only. All temporary form work such as bulk heads,
stop boards provided at construction joints which are not shown
in the drawings shall not be measured. The rate shall include the
cost of erecting, centering, shuttering materials, transport, DE
shuttering and removal of materials from site ,provision for
sleeves and labour required for all such operations etc. all
complete. No cost shall be paid extra for false staging. All works
up to 4.0m floor to floor Height

E BRICK WORK / BLOCK WORK
Providing and Laying Brickwork with 1st class (designation of
75) bricks in sub/super structure in Cement mortar 1:6 (1
cement : 6 coarse sand) for walls , as well as square and
rectangular pillars laid in proper line & plumb including hacking
1 of RCC at junctions, raking of joints, curing, scaffolding etc. and CUM
all leads & lifts complete to the satisfaction of the Engineer. The
rate is inclusive of providing arched / curved openings at all
heights / depth & Level as per design/ drawings,C.P.W.D.
specification and as per the directions of Project In Charge

Providing and laying brick masonry of class designation 75 in


staircase steps in any shape in cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3
2 coarse sand) at all heights and levels including cutting, CUM
chamfering, scaffolding, curing, complete as per specifications
and as per the directions of Project In Charge

Providing and laying Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) Block


using fly ash as basic raw material, blocks conforming to IS 2185
Part-3 density (oven dry) 550 - 650 Kg/CUM, thermal conductivity
(K- Value) 0.162 W/mK as per DIN 52612, Design Gross
3 Density 850 Kg/CUM laid in cement mortar 1:6 (1 cement : 6
coarse sand) with suitable plasticizer may also be added.
Masonry work shall be carried out as per BIS 6041-1985. The
rate shall include curing, scaffolding wherever necessary etc.

H FINISHING WORKS

Engineer for all the items under this subhead as & where
directed by the project In charge.
Providing and applying 12 to 15mm thick plaster to masonry
and RCC walls, columns etc. in cement mortar 1:5 (1 cement : 5
fine and coarse sand in equal proportion) finished smooth
including wire mesh, hacking the surfaces, scaffolding, curing,

making grooves at desired location etc. complete for all heights
and levels as per drawings and specifications and/or as directed
by Project In charge. the rates shall also include for providing &
fixing of chicken wire mesh

Providing and laying 15 mm thick plaster of mix 1:4 ( 1 cement :


4 coarse sand) mixing of cico no. 1 water proofing agent in
cement mortar @ 2% by weight of cement including racking,
2 joints, hacking, curing , scaffolding etc. complete as per drawing, SQM
specification including making grooves, bands, drip coarse etc.
complete for all heights and levels as per drawings and
specifications and/or as directed by Project In charge.

Providing and applying 6mm thick plaster to RCC slab in


cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 fine and coarse sand in equal
proportion) finished smooth including hacking the surfaces,

scaffolding, curing, making grooves at desired location etc.
complete for all heights and levels as per drawings and
specifications and/or as directed by Project In charge.

Providing and applying 18mm thick cement plaster (external) on


flat/curved surface in two coats, under layer of 12mm thickness
in cement plaster 1:5 (1cement : 5coarse sand) and top layer
6mm thickness in cement plaster 1:6 (1cement: 3 fine
sand:3coarse sand ) mixing of cico no. 1 water proofing agent in
4 SQM
cement mortar @ 2% by weight of cement in under layer ,
making drip course, Grooves (all size) , cornice, edges, hacking
of RCC surface and curing, all lead & lifts including scaffolding all
complete as per design & patterns to satisfaction of the Engineer
In charge.(At all floor levels)
