omega red's tendrils- version 1.

variation of the snakes in a can of peanut brittle joke

-metal springs are welded together to create long springs; the end of the spring that will shoot out is
coiled tighter because his coils come to a point, they don't stop
-rubber is melted down and white food coloring is added and a mold of the tendrils is made with groves
that look like the segmented parts of omega red's tendrils
-various shades of gray paint are used to color in the groves to make them stand out more and to make
them easier to be seen from a distance
-a cylinder is attached to the piece that will have the 2 belts to attach the whole thing to the forearm and
the tendrils are slid into the cylinder
-the bottom of the cylinder has a motor that will spin the springs around, while a notch thing near the
top of the tube with the tendril in it will force the spring to go down and compress; the notch will be
moved over once the lid is closed; the bottom end of the spring is bent up a little and the edge
smoothed/rounded out to prevent it catching on anything and doing damage to the spring inside
-the lid of the tub is a flip top, attached to the side by the user's wrist; the outer half of the lid is cut and
turned up to preent the tendril from catching on the lip of the lid and to prevent scratching/cutting into
the tendril
-there are a series of alternating hinges to allow them to go from a curved up into the palm direction to a
straightened out series of hinges; on the end of the hinges that are grabbed by the user's fingers, there is
a bit of a bent over lip for the user to grab onto
- turning the motor on and off for retracting the tendril is turned on and off by touching the thumb to
the lndex finger tip; to move the notch to allow the spring to be pushed back into the tube is controlled
by touching the thumb to the middle finger
