INTRODUCTION
Technology is evolving rapidly, changing
work methodologies and techniques in all
productive areas. From simple processes such as
creating, editing and distributing documents
online, to complex augmented reality devices
that scan data from the environment. These
applications open up new possibilities in every
direction, promising to improve the efficiency
and quality of the services provided by
companies
OBJECTIVE
• GENERAL OBJECTIVE
The general objective of CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
AND TECHNOLOGY in civil engineering is to improve
efficiency, precision, safety and quality in the construction and
maintenance of civil infrastructure.
.
• SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
✓ Increase productivity
✓ Improve construction quality
✓ Reduce costs
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY
Construction management and technology is an interdisciplinary
field that combines principles of engineering, management,
economics and technology to optimize the construction process
of infrastructure and buildings. The development of this field is
essential to improve the efficiency, sustainability and quality of
construction projects. A theoretical framework relevant to
construction management and technology is presented below.

Principles of Construction Technology

Construction technology refers to the use of tools, machines,
techniques and methods in the construction process. Some of
the key areas include:
- Construction Materials: Innovations in materials such as
concrete, steel, prefabricated and sustainable materials.
- Construction Methods: Techniques such as modular
construction, BIM (Building Information Modeling) and Lean
methods.
- Equipment and Machinery: Use of advanced technological
machinery to improve efficiency.
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY
Project Planning and Scheduling
- Project Scheduling: Uses methods such as the Gantt Chart and the
Critical Path Method (CPM) to plan and control project schedules.
- Resource Management: Involves the efficient allocation and control of
human, material and financial resources.

Cost and Budget Analysis

A fundamental part of construction management is the preparation of cost
analysis. This includes:
- Direct and Indirect Costing: Identification and control of costs associated
with each part of the project.
- Cost Estimation: Cost estimating methods and the analogy method.

Quality in Construction
Quality management focuses on ensuring that projects meet specifications
and standards. This includes:
- ISO Standards: Implements international standards that guarantee quality
in construction processes.
- Audits and Quality Control: Procedures to validate materials and final work.
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY

Sustainability of Construction
This aspect focuses on the incorporation of sustainable practices
and technologies in construction to reduce environmental impact,
promote energy efficiency and the use of eco-friendly materials.

Innovations and the Future of Construction

Innovations and the future of construction are constantly evolving,
driven by technological advances, sustainability trends and
changing societal needs. Some of the key areas where significant
advancements are taking place include:

-Modular and prefabricated construction

- Innovative materials
- Smart and sustainable buildings
- Virtual and augmented reality
CONCLUSION

In conclusion, our report, which is focused on Management and

Technology in civil engineering, becomes a very important and
comfortable topic for the interpretation of our knowledge in terms
of definition, characterization and functionality; it also contributes
to our vocabulary where we develop by interpreting a good dialect
and creating a thematic report.
By managing materials and tools you can save time, reduce the
number of jobs, save space, improve working conditions, etc.
It is obvious that in order to achieve these goals and increase the
performance of each job, appropriate measures must be put in
place. Principles and guidelines to follow that will increase
production and reduce production costs. Materials management
not only increases efficiency and effectiveness resulting in a
reduction in costs in the production process but also.
