Election Report
The election process officially kicked off on Friday, May 24th, when the
forms for candidacy became available to all students interested in
running for office who met the requirements. A total of 31 students
showed their interest by purchasing a form for various positions.
Campaigning began as soon as the forms were bought, with the electoral
team ensuring that all candidates adhered to the rules to guarantee a
fair election. One key rule was that both candidates and voters needed
to have paid their departmental fees to be eligible to participate.

The manifesto readings took place on Saturday, May 18th, 2024. Since
an in-person event wasn't feasible, candidates were asked to submit
videos outlining their manifestos and explaining their plans to achieve
their goals. These videos were then distributed to all students, who were
given the opportunity to ask the candidates questions. The students
took full advantage of this chance to engage with the candidates.

The election itself occurred three days later, on Tuesday, May 21st,
2024, starting at midnight and concluding at 10:00 PM. During this time,
several students reported issues with registering their voting accounts,
but all disputes were resolved promptly.
Election Results

A total of 210 students casted their votes, out of 401 students in the
department, minus the 4 members of the electoral body who are not
permitted to vote, the total number of expected votes was 397. The

department has decided the future of the department.
