variety of firsts: first bath time, first

night to name a few. In a typical
Filipino household, friends and
family usually have all sort of advice
when it comes to caring for a child.

temperature by diping your elbow or by
running a few drops on your pulse.

plastic or rubber apron or fold a fairly
thick towel over her knees when seated.

big towel.

the baby’s face. Wash it with a swab or
soft cloth and clean the eyes with a wet
cotton, rubbing it away from the nose.

clean the nostrils with a wet cotton.

10.Wash the face with sponge and plain

water (no soap).Do not clean the baby’s
mouth.

in boiled water which has been cooled.
