Ever since I can remember, I have been inclined towards learning programming languages.

My
infatuation with Programming Languages to my 13-year-old self when I first got introduced to
the basics of QBasic and C/C++. The knowledge combined with my eagerness to learn computer
assemblage led me to single-handedly upgrade my computer hardware at the young age of 14.
From that day onwards, I started working towards my goal of a career in computer science with
measured steps and completed each milestone with a feeling of thrill and accomplishment. My
decision to pursue computer science as a major in my undergraduate course was thus an upshot
of these interest and I desired the knowledge not only to have a productive and safe career, but
also to fulfill my life's goals of bigger knowledge acquisition, job satisfaction, and the ability to
build critical-thinking skills.

Coming to my undergraduate study, I was enthusiastic about learning all the essential subjects
and was particularly charmed by artificial intelligence. Consequently, I implemented and used
my ideas to make a project-based “Facemoji”: facial expression detection by using networks
(CNNs) to map the raw pixels from a front-facing camera to the detecting commands for a
facial grid of a persons. The end-to-end approach means that with minimum training data from
users, the system learns to recognize faces, display emotions (such as emoticons), by observing
facial-grid. In another important project, "HOME AUTOMATION SMART FAN," the model
detected differently abled person’s signals at a distance of 10 meters using real-time monitoring
sensors in the room. The system provides an efficient and smart automatic fan control system
with the help of IR sensors and prevents unnecessary wastage of time, caused due to manual
switching of fan when required.

As a part of VIT's Research-based Chapter, Sigma XI, I am engaged along with my team to
conduct various technical and non-technical events such as “Speech to action” Workshop. The
workshop allows users to explore in the field of IOT, using the most common way a person
interacts i.e. verbal speech in real-time and “Time Machine in Quarantine” to help people by
solving their problems through letting the machine do part of thinking as give machine a code
and you solve a question. The work is highly gratifying as it allowed me to serve special needs of
my community. The job also highlights the importance of coordination and cooperation among
team members and how teamwork is vital if we desire to achieve great things. These workshops
gave me a greater understanding of real-world applications of my subjects.

Currently, I am working on my short-term career plan to learn skills and technology, gain work
experience, improve my programming and communication skills, and improve efficiency rates
by completing projects. Post master’s, I would like to acquire a job as a Data Analyst in my
dream companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Electronic Arts, and Dell. In the long-term, I would
like to return to my home country and deploy knowledge amongst my people and provide them
with job opportunities by establishing a software company. I want to open an enterprise that can
deliver AI-based solutions by designing, developing, and programming computer software and
mobile software. I wish to offer high-quality computer software and computer-related products at
affordable prices. My dream is to provide practical intensive computer and computer-related
training, recognized certifications, and excellent customer relationship management services to
the general public. Lastly, I would like to work for differently abled people and help them live a
better life by using computing technology for tasks such as reading and writing documents,
communicating with others, and searching for information on the Internet.

Now on the verge of completing my under-graduation study, choosing a master's is a part of the
same strategic step. My undergraduate experience has given me the vision to expand my base
and instead of limiting myself to a particular nation's education, I want to get exposed to a global
level of edification for a chance to grow at an international platform. My deep search for the
right university brought me to Vanderbilt University. My research showed that the institutional
facilities with regards to the data science major are second to none. The institution teaches a
practical-based curriculum that is more at par with my preference. The college also has leading
professors who are veterans in their fields. Thus, studying here would provide me an
unparalleled opportunity to connect with these experts and learn from their cutting-edge
experience. Vanderbilt University is also a highly desirable place to learn with its friendly,
warm, and welcoming population, the innumerable innovations in data science, and the great
travel destinations to explore the various cities.

I'm applying to this university because I think the sense of belonging and significance that
students like us receive is admirable. The notion of bringing students from all around the world
together under one roof opens up new possibilities for innovation and problem solving. As a
result, my goals for this program are to learn and network. Strong skill sets will be obtained at
this widely regarded university, as studying here is like swimming in an ocean of knowledge.
The main goal is to learn more about the technology business and advance into the global scene.

The master's program will help me bridge the gap between knowledge and experience. The
university would provide me a high-quality education and develop skills and experiences to
enhance my career and future ambitions. I hope the admission committee thinks me worthy of
this course and extend the opportunity to study in the esteemed campus and grow as an
individual and a scholar.
