My decision to get a Master’s Degree in MSc in Management of Textile

Trade and Technology, at this point in my career, is precisely based on a

question 'Where I would be the in next five years'. Though a 7 year of
professional work experience in the field of Merchandising, supply chain
have given me the vast knowledge and command to cope with modern
business challenges as a manager, yet I feel that current fast growing and
competitive business world need vital strategic thinking and an adept to
change. Globalization has brought new challenges for economies; hence
today's manager must equip himself with the tools and techniques
provided by research and development in this sector. With this letter, I am
applying for a position in the Management of Textile Trade and
Technology, offered at Hochschule Niederrhein, University of Applied
Sciences. With my current experience as an assistant manager of
Merchandising in apparel industry, I wish to expand my technical
knowledge of textile technology, trade and turn my focus towards their
wide-scale applications in textile industry as a specialist. By reading the
course curriculum available online, I have found that the subject material
covered will best suit my career goals. For me, there are couple of reasons
for choosing Germany & Hochschule Niederrhein, University of Applied
Sciences. First of all, Germany is one of leading country for better
education system, secondly Niederrhein university is a well-known, famous
destination for international students from textile background including
others all subjects and still they are growing reputation and ranking in
Germanys Education sector. Thirdly, its affordability, and finally the course
itself. I firmly believe in gaining highly marketable set of skills from a
reputable postgraduate course like MSc in Management of Textile Trade
and Technology, from Neiderhein University. Bangladesh is one of the
largest garments manufacturer and exporter in the world. So after
completing this degree, I will come back to serve for my country as there
are plenty opportunities of lucrative job in renowned brands. I believe that
This Master’s degree will help me to boost up my carrier in global business
family and I could utilize this knowledge to increase my country’s business
growth in a sustainable way.
I have completed my Secondary school in 2006, higher secondary in 2008
with science background. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Textile
Engineering from Primeasia university in Bangladesh. My major subject was
wet processing technology. During my degree, I was very active in many
facets of university life. I have completed a number of internships around
my university campus, working for small business owners. This gave me an
outlet to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting and also sparked
my interest in apparel sector. Further to this I remained engaged in
university affairs by volunteering for the Student various program. In this
program, my duties varied from taking prospective students on tours,
introducing and guiding guests of honor, and speaking to schools around
Bangladesh regarding scholarship programs. Furthermore, I was highly
committed to the development of personal carrier through carrier path
club. My Bachelors in Textile Engineer has given me the fundamentals of
diversification of textile products, fiber to fabric, raw materials, textile
chemical, business Law and Management. My project, research of various
products enriches my basic knowledge of apparel industry. This degree
provided me essential knowledge of International Business that helped me
in understanding historical backgrounds, policies and political influence of
other countries and their business environment. During my study, I
attended various international textile fair like, “Dhaka international textile
and garments machinery exhibition”, Textile trade fair and exhibitions, Etc.
I tried to enhance my basic from this exhibition. Besides, this enhanced my
knowledge about different products specification and origin, as well as
potential markets for commodities The mounting international demand of
Information Technology and escalating usage and importance of business
solution tools pushed me to cover this deficiency, so I have passionate to
solve some sorts of IT related problem in my current organization by using
online solution guide book. This helped me to further strengthen my base
in e-commerce & data base systems like ERP, which has become extensive
part of modern day Supply Chain Management. By profession, I specialize
in merchandising, woven products. As part of my role I liaise with clients
regarding their marketing and management objectives, create and update
surveys to capture consumer behavior, assist with technical data quality
management.
