ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

OF
PROJECT MENTOR
Maximizing Efficiency of teachers with Noteworthy Transformation
through equal Opportunities and Responses

INTRODUCTION
Mentoring is a tool used by various organizations and other entities for the

personal development and empowerment of their employees. It is a powerful

process and an effective approach in helping individuals in developing their careers

and a partnership between the mentor and the mentee who share similar

experiences or who are in the same field of work. Apart from personal development,

it is also about relationship building.

It is a relationship-based process where the mentee (journalists) is assigned

to a mentor who facilitates the mentee’s career development within the organization.
It is a symbiotic relationship wherein everyone benefits – the protégé, the
mentor/coach, and the institution. Mentees proactively seek for opportunities to grow
or learn from the mentor. At the same time, the mentors opportunely gain information
and knowledge to benefit their careers while they commit themselves to listen,
encourage, develop, counsel, and support their mentees.

Mentoring is useful and powerful in understanding and advancing

organizational culture, providing access to informal and formal networks of
communication, and offering professional stimulation to both junior and senior faculty
members. Mentoring is a continuation of one's development as defined by life cycle
and human development theorists in terms of life sequences or stages, personality
development, and the concept and value of care. (Erikson 1963 and Levinson et al.
1978).

A commitment is required to provide nurturing environment for mentor

and mentees, and create the best available opportunities to succeed throughout the
training.

One of the many advantages of participating in the mentoring

program is the opportunity to be exposed to a group and deeply committed and
passionate.

RATIONALE
In Lemery Pilot Elementary School, it is observed that mentoring program is

really beneficial both mentees and mentors. The existing mentoring program is

implemented due to the call of the department and it was not designed formally but

executed as literally as it is. Furthermore, objectives of the mentoring programs were

not clarified among master teachers as mentors. With this reason, mentoring

process were not that executed properly.

This scenario prompted the researcher to conduct this study to help

the elementary master teachers to be equipped on the proper mentoring process

and to clarify the different areas of which are needed to maximize for them to be

skilled on the proper mentoring.

OBJECTIVES
Mentoring program PROJECT MENTOR was conceptualized and it was
implemented in Lemery Pilot ES. It essentially aims to enhance and uplift the skills of
the teachers in teaching.
Mentoring program is also specifically purposeful to:
 Assess the teachers’ strengths and weaknesses
 Plan mentoring program focusing on the areas of concern
 Craft mentoring schedule
 Make mentoring guide
 Conduct mentoring
 Maximize the skills of the mentors

NO. OF BENEFICIARIES

testimonies)

SCOPE
This project is designed for 80 teachers of Lemery Pilot Elementary School

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ACCOMPLISHMENT

 COMPLEXITY AS TO STRATEGY

Mentoring Program is one of the best activity in the school to equip the
teachers in the updates and recent strategies for them to be able to create a
quality teaching. This also one way of empowering the teachers. On the other
hand, this showcases also the expertise of the teachers and mentors.
The project started by crafting a work plan. Orientation of the mentoring
program was done. Features of the program was elucidated and solicited the
teachers’ feedback in the previous mentoring program. Planning of mentoring
was followed after doing the I AM (Identification, Assessment and Measuring
of mentees strengths and weaknesses. Utilization of TNA, IPPD and TSNA
as the tool to be able to know the needs of the teachers in crafting the
mentoring topics.
As time is one of the identified problems. Mentoring Schedule was crafted.
The mentors checked the time and availability of the teachers in mentoring. It
also part of the program that each mentor must have their mentoring guide as
one of the requirements of the mentors.

PICTORIAL REPORT
IMPACT OF THE PROJECT

With the help of this project 100% of the mentors were able to mentor their
mentees. The problems like mentoring schedule was addressed and the mentors
were equipped with mentoring skills. A lot of teachers were able to be equipped on
the weaknesses as reflected on their TNA and SWA Analysis so when the teachers
were developed definitely it has a great impact to the teaching- learning process of
which it will benefited by the learners. With the help of the approaches acquired by
the mentees the learners’ confidence and collaboration in doing such performance
outputs and tasks can be observed that result a greater heights and
accomplishments like winning in competitions and an increasing rate on their
quarterly performance.
( Please see attachments of evidence)

RECOMMENDATION
Mentoring Program has been essential in the realization of quality education through
the application of the acquired knowledge by the teachers from the program. The
techniques were directly obtained by the mentees. The following must be considered
for the improvement and sustainability of this:
 It must be monitored by the SH to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency
of it.
 Sustainability of the program which has a great impact in the teaching-
learning process.
 A quarterly monitoring must be done to give technical assistance and
assess their progress.
