Project Report Specifications:

1. Project Report’s Cover Type: Book Binding only (Spiral Binding will be rejected)
2. Color of Project Report Cover: white only with blue alphabets
3. Number of Copies: 2 per student (Internal/External exam + Individual or Student’s copy)
4. Paper Size (orientation): A4 (portrait)
5. Margins: 1” top / bottom / right and 1.5” left
6. Font Type: Times New Roman
7. Font Size: 16 bold for chapter names, 14 bold for headings and 12 for normal text
8. Line Spacing: 1.5 throughout
9. Page Numbering: Bottom center of page

Abstract

It is an abbreviated version of your entire project. It length is usually one paragraph highlighting
the following points

1 Name/Title of the Project

2 Problem Statement

3 Why is the topic chosen?

4 Objective and Scope of the project

5 Methodology

6 Hardware and Software to be used

7 Testing Technologies to be used

8 Your Role in the project

9 What contribution the project make

Each student has to submit an abstract report to college authority for Project approval. Once
approved Student can start working on the project and the final report and presentation will be
evaluated as per university guidelines.
Project Report

After completion of the project work, every student will submit a project report which should
contain the following:

1. Cover Page
2. Title page
3. Declaration by the Student
4. Certificate from the Training Organization/Guide
5. Acknowledgment
6. Abstract (Format specified above)
7. Theoretical Background:(Describe the basics of technology, tools used in your project).
Also include the connection mechanism to your database. Keep it Short and Simple,
preferably within 4-5 pages.
8. Requirement Analysis and Specification: Identify functional and nonfunctional
requirements. Formal Specification, Context Diagram, Use Case Diagram, Class Diagram,
Interaction Diagram etc
9. Software Design: Flowchart, User Interface, ER diagram, Relational Tables etc
10. Source Code: Runnable Code (), Snapshot of Screens
11. Testing: Test Data and Test Results

12. Conclusion & Recommendations

13. Appendices
• Appendices are provided to give supplementary information, which if included in the
main text may serve as a distraction and cloud the central theme.
• Appendices should be numbered using Arabic numerals, e.g. Appendix 1, Appendix 2.
• Appendices shall carry the title of the work reported and the same title shall be listed in
the Contents page also

14 References: The listing of references should be typed 2 spaces below the heading
“REFERENCES” in alphabetical order in single spacing left – justified. It should be numbered
consecutively (in square [ ] brackets, throughout the text and should be collected together in
the reference list at the end of the report. The references should be numbered in the order
they are used in the text. The name of the author/authors should be immediately followed by
the year and other details.
