Role: Software Development Engineer

About Tijori:

Tijori is a sister concern of Tally Solutions, that was incorporated with the sole purpose of infusing the
right technology into the field of personal finance management. We believe that this field is fast
emerging, and we are keen to be at the forefront of personal finance management and drive the way in
which personal finance is handled in the future. Tijori was set up with the focus on bringing innovation
to the personal finance space by encouraging saving and bringing in simplicity to investing.

About the role:

Engineering at Tijori is responsible for the design, development, testing and maintenance of our
products which are offered as SaaS on the web platform. We make use of tried and tested Django
framework and related open-source technologies.

In this role, the individual will work on building and improving our internal data infrastructure. We
compute 10mn+ data points every day, and we have a sophisticated systems to handle the curation of
the data. This will be exciting for someone who enjoys working with data, understanding the domain
while balancing the technical excellence.

Do you have what it takes?

• Good understanding of Python, Django framework, MVC patterns.


• Experience working with Django-admin is a major plus.
• Experience working with at least 1 major RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle).
• Hands-on knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery).
• Understanding of OOP, SOLID, DRY, 3NF (databases) concepts.
• Basic understanding of GNU\Linux based systems.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.

How can you contribute to our success?

• Work on Python, Django platform on Ubuntu stack.


• Independently design data systems, new features as per product requirements. Participate in
design discussions with others as needed.
• Write testable, maintainable clean code along with unit tests.
• Perform bug fixes and improvement to existing system.
• Participate in the code reviews.
• Work closely with team members and other teams.
