This standard has been prepared by CEN/TC 133.
The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuß Nichteisenmetalle (Non-
ferrous Metals Standards Committee).
For ease of reference, the table overleaf correlates the material designations/symbols used in DIN 17670-1
with those used in the present standard.

Amendments
DIN 17670-1, December 1983 edition, DIN 17670-2, June 1969 edition, and parts of DIN 1751 and DIN 1791,
June 1973 editions, have been superseded by the specifications of EN 1652.
