Mrs. Barbara Lal Memorial

Inter-School
English Debate
Whitehall School is delighted to announce the
third edition of its Annual Inter-School
English Debate in the memory of its founder
Mrs. Barbara Lal.
Mrs. Lal established Whitehall School in the year
1992, with the vision of imparting
quality education to the masses in Haldwani.
Whitehall today endeavours to realise her
dreams. Mrs. Lal was an avid reader and has
authored many books. She believed that
providing a platform to children would help them
flourish and hone their skills.
To carry forward her legacy, we at Whitehall
invite you to be a part of this exciting
competition.
This debate aims at improving aural and written
communication skills. It will also help
students to improve their critical thinking
skills and develop effective tools for research,
organization and presentation. This will go a
long way in helping students to overcome the fear
of public speaking.
