RA 8749 – Republic Act of 8749, Philippine Clean Air Act of 1999: The Act makes provision for formulating a
national plan on the management of air pollution with primary emphasis on pollution control, for facilitating the use
of mass media on social communication for the enhancement of public involvement in planning and controlling of
air pollution.
RA 6425 – Dangerous Drugs Act of 1972: Regulates the importation, distribution, and use of dangerous drugs in
the Philippines. It establishes penalties for the manufacture and sale of illegal substances and provides guidelines
for the rehabilitation of drug dependents.
RA 2382 – The Medical Act of 1959: Governs the practice of medicine in the Philippines. It determines who can
practice medicine in the country, how practice in medicine is taught, the roles and acceptable professionalism of
the doctors.
RA 1082 - An Act Strengthening Health and Dental Services in Rural Areas Act, And Providing Funds
Therefore: It was established to enhance health and dental services in rural areas by creating rural health units
and funding them to improve the overall healthcare system in underserved communities of the Philippines.
RA 3573 - also known as the Law on Reporting of Communicable Diseases (1929): Mandates the reporting of
dangerous communicable diseases to the Philippine Health Service. It also allows for the compulsory
administration of vaccines or treatments to prevent disease outbreaks and imposes penalties for non-compliance.
RA 6675 – Generics Act of 1988: This law promotes the use of generic drugs by ensuring an adequate
supply, distribution, and acceptance of medicines identified by their generic names.
RA 7305 - The Magna Carta of Public Health Workers. Ensures the welfare and rights of public health workers
in the Philippines. It provides for fair compensation, benefits, and working conditions to support the delivery of
essential health services across the country. The State shall instill health consciousness among our people to
effectively carry out the health programs and projects of the government essential for the growth and health of the
nation. Towards this end, this Act aims: (a) to promote and improve the social and economic well-being of the
health workers, their living and working conditions and terms of employment; (b) to develop their skills and
capabilities in order that they will be more responsive and better equipped to deliver health projects and programs;
and (c) to encourage those with proper qualifications and excellent abilities to join and remain in government
service.
RA 7160 - Local Government Code of 1991. It is hereby declared the policy of the State that the territorial and
political subdivisions of the State shall enjoy genuine and meaningful local autonomy to enable them to attain their
fullest development as self-reliant communities and make them more effective partners in the attainment of
national goals. Toward this end, the State shall provide for a more responsive and accountable local government
structure instituted through a system of decentralization whereby local government units shall be given more
powers, authority, responsibilities, and resources. The process of decentralization shall proceed from the National
Government to the local government units.
