LAST NIGHT, MY DAD

WAS DRIVING HOME FROM
WORK. THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN,
HIS CAR STOPPED RIGHT IN THE
MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. HE TRIED
EVERYTHING HE KNEW TO MAKE
THE CAR START, BUT IT JUST
WOULDN’T START.

WOW! I CAN
IMAGINE HOW UPSET
YOUR DAD MAY
HAVE FELT.

YOU BET HE WAS.

BECAUSE AT THAT TIME
OF THE NIGHT, THERE WAS
NO WAY HE COULD GET AN
AUTO MECHANIC TO WORK
ON THE CAR.

SO, WHAT
DID HE DO
NEXT?

 HE SAID,
HE REMEMBERED ONE OF
PASTOR CHRIS’ MESSAGES
ABOUT SPEAKING IN TONGUES.
SO, HE GOT INTO THE CAR AND
PRAYED IN TONGUES. AFTER SOME
MINUTES, HE SAID HE HAD THIS
STRONG FEELING TO CHECK
THE RAD—RADI—

RADIATOR?

YEAH,
THAT’S IT—RADIATOR!
HE CHECKED IT AND SAW IT
HAD A LEAK BECAUSE A CLIP WAS
LOOSE. SO, ALL HE DID WAS
TIGHTEN IT, AND THE CAR
STARTED WORKING
AGAIN.

YAY!
PRAISE GOD!!!

WAS THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM AT
WORK IN YOUR DAD. YOU KNOW,

 One day, in a town called Gilgal,
Elisha had a meeting with some prophets.
But there wasn’t enough food to eat
because there was famine in the land.

 Elisha knew the prophets
would be hungry.
So, he told his servant to
prepare a meal for them.
“Place a large pot on fire,”
Elisha instructed.
“And make some stew for
the prophets to eat.”

 One of the prophets
wanted to get some herbs
herbs.
So, he went out to the field
to search for some.
He found a wild vine with
wild gourds on it and plucked
as much as he could carry in his robe.

He got back and shred the gourds into bits
and put the pieces into the pot of stew,
though they didn’t know what they were.
Once the stew was ready,
it was served to the men.

But when they began to eat the meal,
they cried out and said, “Man of God!
There is harm in the pot!”
So, they couldn’t eat it.

So Elisha said, “Bring me some flour.”
He poured the flour into
the pot of stew.
Then he said, “It’s alright now;
you can eat it.”
They ate the stew, and it did
no harm to them.

 At another time,
these same prophets were with Elisha.
They said,
“This place is too small for us to meet.
We want to go to the
Jordan River to get wood.
We want to build a place there
for us to meet.”

 Elisha thought it was a good idea.
“It’s alright,” he said. “You can go ahead.”
“Would you please come with us?”
One of them asked.
“Sure, I will,” Elisha replied
and went along with them.

 When they got to the Jordan River,
they began to cut down some trees.
But as one of them was cutting a tree,
his ax head fell into the
water with a loud plop
plop!

“Oh no!” he cried. “What am I going to do?”
He turned to Elisha.
“Master, the ax head is not mine!”
“Where did the ax head fall?”
Elisha asked him.
“Over there,’’ he said,
pointing at the spot in the river.

Then Elisha cut a stick and threw it in.

metal object on the water.
It was the ax head!
It had floated to the surface

“Take it out of the water yourself,”
Elisha said.
And the man reached out
his hand and took it.

THE SPIRIT
OF WISDOM YOU ARE
WORKING ABSOLUTELY
IN HIM. RIGHT, BETTY.

BUT, WHAT DO
WE HAVE TO DO TO
ALWAYS WALK IN THE
SPIRIT OF WISDOM?

 FIRST OF ALL,
WE NEED TO REALIZE THAT
GOD’S SPIRIT LIVES IN US AND
THEREFORE, WE ALREADY HAVE THE SPIRIT
OF WISDOM IN US. THEN, WE SHOULD
ALSO LEARN TO SPEAK IN TONGUES MORE
OFTEN, AND SAY THIS TO YOURSELF
EVERYDAY, “I HAVE THE SPIRIT OF
WISDOM IN ME; THEREFORE,
I KNOW WHAT TO DO AT
ALL TIMES!”

 ASK JESUS TO BE THE LORD OF YOUR
LIFE BY SAYING THE PRAYER BELOW:

DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER, I BELIEVE

WITH ALL MY HEART IN JESUS CHRIST,
THE SON OF GOD. I BELIEVE HE DIED
FOR ME, AND GOD RAISED HIM FROM
THE DEAD. I BELIEVE HE’S ALIVE TODAY.
I CONFESS THAT JESUS IS THE LORD OF
MY LIFE. FROM THIS DAY, I AM BORN
AGAIN. THANK YOU LORD FOR SAVING
ME! I’M NOW A CHILD OF GOD.
